Re: CHR: number of CPUs limited to 64?

Have you used this in a production environment? Curious what performance you've seen under load?

Re: Where is Mikrotik Terragraph??

One nice thing about being "Terragraph" certified is that the hardware will all be interoperable (assuming they follow the standard). In order to receive Terragraph certification, all the hardware should be the same on L2, so deploy what you can now, then deploy the stragglers later. Havin...

Re: Terragraph

I have a LOT of 802.11ad equipment out there, so I hope they have something up there sleeve that will be backwards compatible. Honestly, an 802.11ad solution with a beefed up AP and TDMA with somewhere around 20-30 client count would be perfect for us. Either way, I really hope someone gives us the ...

Re: terragraph 60 ghz

I'm curious about this as well. Any news on this front? 802.11ad is great, but ay/Terragraph really is the future. I'm planning on expanding my network, and I love using Mikrotik products. I'd love to be able to expand soon without having to plan for upgrading in the near future.

wAP 60Gx3 clients keep disconnecting

Ever since upgrading to 6.47.2 I have seen multiple wlan60-1 : link down/link up events in clients connected to my AP's. Here is what I have tried so far... 1) making sure every clients is aligned as well as possible. 2) upgrading OS AND Routerboard firmware to latest 3) changing frequencies There a...

Re: wAP 60G experience

I've noticed the same problem with the WAP 60G x3 units. When you add more than 3-4 clients, they start to have major issues. I added 3 new clients to a tower in 4 days, and one of the radios in particular is having serious trouble staying connected. The "link downs" section just keeps goi...

bridging multiple vlans and ports to share ip addresses

I have two switches serving multiple sites that I want to aggregate together on a single router, and have all of those sites (and their associated vlans) share IP addresses (mostly because I am nearly out of IP addresses). I have a bonded interface from a Netonix switch going into four ports on the ...

Re: Nonstandard 60GHz channel, why 66000 and not 66960 MHz?

Anyone care to share with the less enlightened how exactly you go about enabling it in the CLI, and which beta version of the software you have to use? Is it under interface/wireless/channels/add??

Re: Nonstandard 60GHz channel, why 66000 and not 66960 MHz?

How are you seeing this channel? I have the latest release, and I'm in the US, but I don't see how to enable a channel higher than 64800.

Re: Check for updates does not work

I've seen this before if you have multiple IP addresses on the router. You have to be careful to make sure that any private IP addresses are being NAT'd so in case your router is trying to use one of its private address as its source IP, it has a way of getting out to the internet.

arp timeout

Over the past three weeks I have had several instances where a customer will call me saying that their internet service wasn't working. Upon investigation, the ARP entry for their IP address was pointing to a different MAC address. I would scour the network for the MAC address of the offending devic...

one second network pauses on router

I have a powerrouter 732 that drops packets randomly over one asecond time period. When pinging the router, I would set the ping interval to 10 ms and get nearly 100 packets lost, meaning almost a one second pause exactly. Sometimes it would be as low as 93, but never more packets lost than 100. The...

Re: How do I stop fragmented icmp packets?

The manual says "If connection tracking is enabled there will be no fragments as system automatically assembles every packet". I want to stop it from reassembling the fragmented icmp packets. Is this possible?

How do I stop fragmented icmp packets?

There are several devices on my network that are sending fragmented icmp packets to my router causing is to perform poorly. I know if I disabled connection tracking I wouldn't have to worry about fragmented icmp packets, but how do I drop them with conntracking enabled?

Re: ping of death attacks?

I am the provider. What I am trying to do is stop these packets from clogging up the processing power of the backhaul link that feeds this particular router. I believe these are fragmented icmp packets. I have conntracking enabled, so how can I stop these packets? Do I need to disable connection tra...

ping of death attacks?

Has anyone seen anything like this before? For the life of me I can't seem to stop them. Packet rates for some machines will get over 6000, and it basically brings my network to a crawl. Since there are no return packets, I can't get a good feed on what is really going on here. HELP PLEASE!! These a...

weird ping behavior

Here's one I haven't seen before so I am posting here in hopes that someone has. When I try and ping a host on my network with ip 10.100.50.105 from my laptop 10.10.251.8 I get icmp replies from about 10 different hosts on the network, and it is completely random. For example: ping 10.100.50.105 (th...
