PPPoE issues - Traffic between clients

Hello, I have a router with a PPPoE server, and some PPPoE clients connected to it. I have problems when one user try to communicate with another one on the same router. I tried to replicate this by trying to open an http page from one user to another users' IP address. Users can ping each other, bu...

netmap should do the same as dstnat applied to an entire subnet instead of a single address.

I read on the wiki that NAT is disabled with connection tracking disabled, so I expect the entire “NAT” section not working

IP redirect without NAT dst-nat rule

Hello everyone,

I would like to redirect traffic from an IP to another, without using a dst-nat rule, because I would like to disable connection tracking on that router, as I’m using it only to have this redirect rule working.

Is there something I can do?

Thanks

-25 si a higher signal than -40.
You have to reduce power to get a good connection. Set frequency mode "regulatory domain", choose your country, and set antenna gain as much high you need to reduce power according to your antenna and radio.
Your clients shouldn't get more than -50

Can't understand why they doesn't follow the release schedule they wrote about.
I expected this fix in a quick 6.30.1 release, not a probably buggy 6.31

They told me not to downgrade only user-manager package to 6.29.1

Hey guys, as MikroTik seems to ignore us (as usual on User Manager topics... :( ), i ask you: did you try to downgrade the user-manager package only to 6.29.1? Does it work?
This bug is very important as I have lots of API scripts that use the "username" field.

Re: 6.30 released

@glus64: default on mikrotik is aes-128, most likely your devices use different length. Maybe 256, just add aes-256 in ipsec proposal. It worked previously because of security issue *) ipsec - fail ph2 negitioation when initiator proposed key length does not match proposal configuration; Thank you!...

Re: [HOW TO] Remote Scan using API

Sure! It's for this reason i called it remote scan :D API connection is like SSH connection, i think there isn't a real limit on timeout. If you set 60s duration and 80s timeout, it works! Just be sure you don't have any limitation in your php configuration about script time limit. You can remove th...

Re: [HOW TO] Remote Scan using API

Are you sure? I've a RB435 with 4 wireless card and their id are 0, 1, 2, 3 They also have an ID like *a or *19a but using the print command i see 0, 1, 2, 3 If I write (using SSH): :put [find where name="wlan4"] It returns *id Sure the script can be optimized and more user friendly, but i...

Re: [HOW TO] Remote Scan using API

You can set your wlan here:
->setArgument('number', WLAN_NUMBER_HERE)
It drops the connection but when the connection come back it returns you the data, i tested it, and it works correctly and it's quick

Hello guys, i realized a PHP script to do a remote scan using PHP Pear API for RouterOS and I want to share it with you. <?php set_time_limit(0); $userIp = '0.0.0.0'; //ip here $username = 'username'; //password here $password = 'password'; //username here $wlan = 0; //wlan id here $scan_duration = ...

How to deal with interference?

Hello everyone, I'm having a big interference problem on two of my APs. There are A LOT of competitors and every channel except two is used and I can see them both client and AP side with signal > -75 My competitors are near me with their AP. I'm using two free frequencies for two sectors, on a RB43...

Nv2 - pfifo: low speed, sfq: high speed. Why?

Hello everyone, I had a really strange problem. I solved it, but I want to share this experience to better understand it. I have a bridged network with a gateway on Optical Fiber internet connection and some wireless APs to allow users to connect using their CPE. I used 5GHz-A and 802.11 or nstreme ...

Re: AP load balancing

Good question! I'm using same SSID on the APs and "Max Station Count" parameter, but I'm having some CPEs not connecting to the best signal AP.
Is there a method to force CPEs to select the best one?

Re: Terrible speed on AP

I tried to change channel without improvement... I don't have lots of free channels as it's an area with other WISPs :( RF Shielding is a good point! What do you suggest to shield exactly? I was wondering why some users, on the same AP, same wireless card, same CPE, same distance don't have problems...

Thank you sonny for your answer! 1. It was 6.9, now 6.10, no improvement at all 2. Tried NV2, i had worser speed than nstreme 3. Why do you suggest this? I always use RB433 with two wireless card, this is an exception I'll avoid in the future. Do you think using one wireless card for board is better...

Yeah, you're right :D but I'm troubleshooting some wireless issue and i want to be sure about every single setting of my APs.

I'll keep it disabled, but if someone from Mikrotik can help to understand what does it mean exactly it would be great!

Re: Terrible speed on AP

25% TX
15% RX

I tried to switch off all radios and I tried each allowed channel on wlan1 but I can't find a good one where each client has a good speed.
Only a few users can get 9-10mbps with a good CCQ.

Unfortunately, it's a noisy area.

Using nv2 i can get a better throughput (only 3-4Mbps more) but a high latency.
I would like to boost its performances more than 4Mbps :D

I gave you karma, thank you! :D About nstreme: it doesn't work! I have "any" on the station. If i set "nstreme" on the AP, it doesn't work: the station disconnects every time it connects with "lost connection, not polled for too long" I'm sure you have a workaround
