Re: NTP Server must be saved as domain name (and resolved every time sync performed)

i think It's an administrator decision which servers he trust and how he want them to be specified - by name or by ip.

Re: how clear Mikrotik Log ?

small log is bad solution. sometimes i want it to be big to store more data. some remote sites didn't have a separate syslog for log storage! but i want to have ability to clear it if somebody want's to hide smthing - he can just reboot the router, or disable syslog and do whatever he wants silently...

Re: how clear Mikrotik Log ?

If log is very slow, I recommend using less "lines" per local log (max-lines) and use external syslog to keep the full log
not a good way to solve problems by creating new ones ))

Re: how clear Mikrotik Log ?

Re: how clear Mikrotik Log ?

mikrotik really should create some easy command for this like "log clear"
and i dont understand why its not done since so many years of routeros development
btw - command above not working - log window remains full and loads slowly in winbox

Re: CCR1036-12g ARP\MAC issues on ETH ports

Sounds to me, like you have a mis-behaving device somewhere that's replying to ARP requests it shouldn't be replying to. Find the MAC address that you're having a problem with, and you've found your culprit. and what should i do if i know such mac address? i had same thoughts, and logged MACs of co...
