Netinstall is repaired or not ??? viewtopic.php?p=911370#p911370
How did You upgrade 16 MB device, which is having only few MB free space, with the 12,9 MB image?Updated 4xCAP AC, 1 CAP XL AC successfull to 7.1.1 (ROS and FW) without problems.
Post Your config, I get 10% of Your speed. It would help if you post config.
I get around 300 mbit /s on my cap ac
Been there, done that, honestly - sell/dump Mikrotik and buy some other brand product.
Do you guys have any idea how to boost my connection?
No. And remember, that normally Mikrotik provide max 50% of spec -s speed.Do any MikroTik wireless access points offer near gigabit speeds?
This seems work in some conditions only, at least for me the 20/40 Ce gives better speed than 20 only.
This does not seems to be true. Changing to 20MHz on 2.4GHz improved the speed greatly. Yes the theoretical speed is halved, but in real world, I can get 5x better speeds on every device...
You are testing local network with iperf? If so, then if You are using mainly local network > wan, testing local network doesn't help You much, as real life is different.
WAN speed is not all. I also test it with iperf for example which tests real speed, not just some speedtest server speed.
And You are testing where?[
The router is laid down in my Living Room, from around 1.6m above ground (so it is not too high not too low - in my opinion - same location as my previous router).
Don't be a masochist, thre is no fix. Been there, done that, read my (or use google and find thousands more) story - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=160252
Maybe someone from MT can have some ideas what might be wrong.
I feel You pain and I'm with You. I don't know how they test their products (if at all), but in real life Mikrotik wifi performance is low, no matter what settings are used. Someone could sue them...I really want to like MikroTik WiFi, but I'm regularly disappointed.
As Mikrotik is unable to face to others manufactures with their current wifi performance, I don't believe that Mikrotik will implement wifi6 at all.Still waiting....
But when I switch on Huawei (located some 8 m away, on the second floor, behind many wall -s) -s wifi, I'm getting with same phone almost lan speed?
Perfect throughput for the interface rates given.
I have tried all, no luck.try this
for 2ghz channel-width=20/40mhz-Ce
for 5G channel-width=20/40/80mhz-Ceee
also try using Band GN instead of just N
I have always disabled it.Make sure that you have disabled power saving on the Intel Wifi card.
Using - /system reset-configuration keep-users=no no-defaults=yes skip-backup=yesIn the last try a full reset of the device. I had a few problem with some used wap ac (with same configuration of other wap ac i have) and the reset has resolved all of them.
As 5GHz ends about 3 meters from AP, so no use for me at all .Before we look into your 2GHz problem .... Why are you not using 5GHz and ac standard? This product can easily reach 500-600Mbit over wifi.
