Re: v7.15rc [testing] is released!

Same here. v7.14.2 OK, v.7.15rc not. SSH, Winbox, RoMON not working, webfig, telnet works.
Confirmed here as well: RoMON not working after 7.15rc1. More specifically, RoMON is no longer working through microwave links. I had to create EOIP tunnels to get Romon to access all of our routers.

BGP relationship between connection and template [SOLVED]

Hello, I am trying very hard to not botch an upgrade from version 6 to version 7 this weekend. In viewing the old V6 vs. new V7 and some of the new syntax, I am confused about the relationship between the BGP connection and the template. -Since my BGP peering is static, I am not sure if I even need ...

Re: v7.12.1 [stable] is released!

I want to confirm the SFP issues (noted above) that ensue when the router is upgraded, in my case from 7.11.2 to 7.12.1 on a 2216 router. Initially I couldn't get a MT 10G SFP to come back online. I committed the 7.12.1 routerboard firmware, rebooted and it restored. I was not aware that ALL of my M...

Yup! I am upgrading from a V6 router to v7 router. Sorry for the confusion. I will try the terse recommendation and report back.

Thanks for the help!

BTW, I am not expecting this to all be pasted especially the much reworked BGP.

Re: Update config from 6 to 7 [SOLVED]

The text IS from the V6 .rsc file. The router is out of the box V7. I don't think I want to try moving it back to V6 then upgrade.

Does my thought train seem logical?

Update config from 6 to 7 [SOLVED]

Hello, I am trying to upgrade a router from 6 to 7. I had hopes that I could simply copy and paste the configuration in sections. As an example, when I open a terminal in V7, go to /ip firewall filter and paste the following config: add action=drop chain=input dst-port=22 protocol=tcp src-address-li...

Hello,

I appreciate this post but do not appreciate the lack of response from MT on this. I need these CCR2004 routers but am NOT ordering them from MT due to this issue being unresolved.

Again, thanks for the posts!

I was not successful by turning off bridge firewall. On another note, I was not successful with IP firewall either. I actually tried that method first. I will retry IP Firewall and post the config later today.

Thanks for the reply!

When I first log in via layer 3, Winbox gives me the option upon login to remove configuration. Are you saying that removing the default configuration via the system/reset configuration/check no default configuration/ is the way to achieve the desired result?

You are using the most recent beta. I get that too, I used montior 0 on the CLI to get around that.

Hello,

I updated to v6.40.8 this morning. I was working in Winbox this evening and kept getting disconnected. I have updated to the newest Winbox release and am still getting disconnected. There is no log entry as to why.

This seems to be since my v6.40.8 upgrade.

Any thoughts?
