Re: Public-Mikrotik-Bandwidth-Test-Server(s)

Tom,

I hope they will give you the license. Your Mikrotik BW test server is a very valuable asset for Mikrotik community.

Re: REST API v7 Make Our Day ! +1 it Please

It will be very nice if you can do the REST API. The development will be much faster since this is a standard way for API development.

Re: 802.11ac spectral scan

If chipsets are the problem, then why Mikrotik is not offering us the choice to buy an AC product with a chipset that supports spectral scan. I'm sure most ISPs will gladly pay for it.

Re: 2 Upstreams without ASN

@CelticComms Thank you for advice. I think I will keep OSPF and EOIP tunnel to the PE (Provider Edge) routers where AC (Access Concentrator) will be also located, that way I can make a link go to AC that I want no matter where it is in network. Even a single interface on interfaces that have multipl...

Re: 2 Upstreams without ASN

@CelticComms

Thank you for reply.

Will it help us having iBGP inside our network in order to set which router will go to which upstream?

Re: 2 Upstreams without ASN

@CelticComms Thank you for reply. Yes, I'm using private IPs for clients inside network, and I'm NATing for most of the customers on demarc router. So basically I add another DR and it will find the closest path? What will happen when there is routers in the "middle" of network when the cost is equa...

2 Upstreams without ASN

Hello, We have a network that's running OSPF with a single upstream provider and everything works fine. We are planing to add additional upstream provider on our network but it will be connected in different city and on different router. I need to mention that we don't have our own ASN. Network shou...

Re: PPPOE-Server duplicate sessions problem

I have upgraded it to 6.12 now. For now I don't have any problems, I'm not sure if they have fixed it. It says in changelog: "*) pppoe - report correctly number of active links;", not sure if that's related to my problem.

BTW I have already set use only one connection.

Re: 18km PtP wireless link issue

I just want to let you all know that we have fixed this issue. We have aligned better antennas by using two crews or both sides at the same time. We have increased signal by few dB. Now we are using NV2, and everything works fine now. Only issue that we got with NV2 is a few ms worst pings, and a li...

Re: PPPOE-Server duplicate sessions problem

rextended, thank you for your input. I'm not sure that it will help me, since I have some clients that are dialing from their PCs. If they have firewall enabled that blocks ICMP, I'm unable to ping them hence this will not work in my case. Your idea is very good, maybe I will modify your script so i...

PPPOE-Server duplicate sessions problem

Hello, I'm using pppoe-server and remote radius server for clients authentication. I'm getting the strange problem from time to time. For some reason when this issue occurs I'm getting 100% CPU usage and all pppoe sessions are doubled for every client. For example for user rocky: <pppoe-rocky> (that...

Re: OmniTik both client and AP mode

I have static mesh between two omnitiks at 400m. Link speed varies 180-270 mbit (802.11n/ht), real throughput is around 40 mbit. What is your distance? I will try to run it on 1.5km. I have dual polarized Ubiquity sector 19dB antena and R52Hn card on hill. I hope it will be strong enough for 15-20M...

OmniTik both client and AP mode

Hello everyone,

I heard that OmniTik can be configured to act both as client and AP. I would like to know how this can be done?

Re: 18km PtP wireless link issue

Try to set hw. retries to 15 usually can help in this situation, also for nstreme can try different framer policy and framer limit or switch to nv2 work more stable on N wireless interface. Also you can try new wireless package but is beta for now I try on 23km p2p for now experience is very good i...

Re: 18km PtP wireless link issue

Ok thanks for that but have you troubles with the rocketdish? Have you setup the ack-timing (distance) in advanced settings? Thank you for your reply. I don't think I have troubles with rocket dish, but maybe I'm wrong. Regarding to ack timeout, I'm not sure how to set it when it's in nstreme mode.

Re: 18km PtP wireless link issue

Thank you all for advices! I have tried nv2 protocol, but latency isn't very good. I personally got better speed with nsteme. I'm getting around 120-130Mbps UDP traffic in one direction, and also pretty decent pings (15-30ms) while bandwidth test is running at that speed. Maybe I haven't configured ...

18km PtP wireless link issue

Hello, I have wireless link at 18km distance. I'm using RB435G, R52Hn wireless cards, 0.5m coax cable with RP-SMA connectors (on both ends) and dual polarized Ubiquiti 30dB rocket dish. I have the same configuration on both ends. I'm getting the following error every hour, and some times every few m...
