Pre-Shared key issue after power outage

Router : RB951Ui
Firmware : 6.47.1

I have to re-enter the pre-shared key on all the VPN profiles after a power outage at the office. I don't need to change the login info only and the pre-shared key and it works again.

Mostly on windows 10 built-in VPN.

Any ideas what can cause that ?

On download I reach about 740mbps max (tested both on DSL report Speedtest and speedtest.net). The CPU never gets higher than 25% so I don't thi...

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

Ok if I understand correctly /25 would give 2 X 128 IP ranges, now how do I allocate user to each range, by static lease and just put the IP in the upper or lower range? and how can I choose the default range?

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

Look at my original description of the DHCP network entries. Rather than have one network entry for a /24 have 2 each covering a /25. Then allocate the IPs into the bottom and top halves of the original /24. ok but sorry I don't know how to do that in ros... I don't really understand the /24 concep...

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

You would probably be better to use the split DHCP network entries if you want multiple DNS servers.
could you post ros code needed for option B)?

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

Works perfect as expected!!! Maybe a secound rule to catch all non whitelist dns traffic and forward to Mikrotik DNS server would be usefull? Maybe something like that : /ip firewall nat add action=redirect chain=dstnat comment="Capture DNS" disabled=no dst-port=53 protocol=udp src-address-list=DNSB...

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

Problem is that he is doing it by DNS... and since mikrotik only has one dns server that doesn't exactly work. By isolating the two groups into specific IP ranges you can either: A) Use DST NAT rules to drive certain clients to either the internal or external DNS server, or B) Allocate different DN...

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

If you can determine the MAC addresses of clients which are not to be blocked you can have DHCP provide static IP to those clients and then adjust the rules to not block that sub-range. Problem is that he is doing it by DNS... and since mikrotik only has one dns server that doesn't exactly work. I'...

Re: Allowing IP to bypass Static DNS website blocking

Vlans with different dhcp servers.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Ok but will the two Vlans with different dhcp servers, be able to talk to each others (which I need), also do I need managed switches to do that, I like to keep things simple.

Re: Which hardware for Fiber 175/175 with QOS

You need to look at the RB1100AHx2 I guess I'll wait for MUM in two days to see what will be the price of the upcoming CCR 1009, my guess is that it will be in the same range as the RB1100AHx2 and if so I could see it replace that model. This Ukraine website suggest that the RB1100AHx2 will be disc...

Which hardware for Fiber 175/175 with QOS

Hi, I'm currently using a RB750GL to handle my 175/175 PPPOE Fiber connection. Without packet marking and Queues, my the RB750GL CPU choke the connection to about 140/140 (CPU 100%). With a couple rules to put the priority on VOIP traffic, the speed is reduced to 100/80. I'm now looking for a new bo...
