Adding one of multiple CAPSMAN virtual ssids to local bridge [SOLVED]

I am running a capsman that is provisioning multiple virtual ssids to multiple CAPS On one of the CAPS I want to be able to add an additional virtual SSID (this I have managed), with local forwarding. The virtual interface is created, but i would like to know how to add it to a local bridge on the c...

Re: synchronize two address-list certain time

Clearly boen_robot has far more Mikrotik Scripting experience, that is a very neat solution indeed.

How would you go about (in the second example), making sure that entries are also removed?

Re: synchronize two address-list certain time

I know this is a late reply, but I had the same problem. The address lists that I need to sync are fairly small so I managed to do it by scripting on both routers.

Re: RBGroove52HPn IP 0.0.0.0 after 6.27 update and system reset no defaults

Quite simple really. Mikrotik devices offer layer 2 management access, so if you start up winbox and click [...] to get a device list (or "Neighbors" on the newer winbox) you can click on the MAC address of the device, and still open a winbox interface where you can add an ip. If you cannot access i...

Re: User-manager as cetnral Radius server

I am planning to run mine on a 1100ahx2 to serve up to about 50 remote sites.

I have PPTP tunnels running from the remote sites to my Hotspot Concentrator, and my trials so far have proven very reliable.

Prefer OSPF default route before PPPoE Default Route

I have a router that dials my backup PPPoE connection, but I want the default route of that router to be a route that it pulls in via OSPF from an adjacent router, and not the one that it gets on the PPPoE tunnel, the PPPoE route should only be active if the OSPF default route is not available. Is t...

Re: Adding routes by script

Ok, my scripting skills are limited, but here is my solution if anyone else can improve it or need to use it: the $myData variable holds the ip in question :if ([/ip route find dst-address="$myData/32"] != "") do {:log info "Route $myData exists, skipping."} else { /ip route add dst-address=$myData ...

Adding routes by script

I am using a script to add new static routes based on DNS entries.

The problem I am having is that the script keeps adding multiple copies of the same routes. Is there a way to prevent it from adding a route if it already exists?

Re: Hotspot on multiple locations

The Userman on Mikrotik is a radius server, so you can use something like DynDNS to link the remote sites to the central Radius server. Thus each router runs it's own Hotspot, but authenticates to the central user manager.

Creating high quality coverage maps can be very difficult. Since I need to do this on a regular basis, and train others to do so, I have documented the process for doing this with Radiomobile:

Great work! It would be great if you can write a short guide on how to use it :D
You could also add 5GHz-120° sector antenna pattern
I have added the pattern file you have requested, and wrote a basic tutorial, you can check the first post for links.

Especially on the lower power boards, like the 750 and similar, the system can become bogged down quickly if you have many users. My solution is to purge old users from the system once every couple of weeks.
