Re: Crazy bug mess in routerOS wireless scripting

Upgrade RouterOS, I cannot repeat any of your mentioned problems with latest ROS.
So I upgraded the router to lastest one.
And error is still going here.
So thank you for incorrect support.
You are the most lazy mikrotik staff which I have seen. THANK YOU for waste of time.

Re: Crazy bug mess in routerOS wireless scripting

If i Do that then our supporting package of scripts going to be messed due to big amount of changes done by your company betwen 6.27 and latest firmware.
The lask of reverse compatibility is a big problem which cause to creating botnets and others problems

Mikrotik logic bug

It seems that routerOs contains a bug. For the old wifi which support only 2 Ghz. The next script constuction works incorrect: :do { /interface wireless set [find default-name=wlan1] band="5ghz-a" :log info "wlan1Support5 true" } on-error={ :log info "wlan1Support5 false" } The construction must log...

Re: RouterOS on Amazon EC2

Normis. I aquired the license P1 and the only way I could use the connection before aquire is to open the winbox ports and use the Winbox. I use the ssh key but the router os want to enter password and user. If I use only login (I know that default login is admin and there is no password) then the s...

Re: RouterOS on Amazon EC2

Do you tell "Run"? So ok. Do you know that users need in instructions to use you product? It seems that no because you just forgot to add the instructions to find the deafult SSH user login and password to login after launch from AWS. You have done the weird work without any clear intruction about f...

Re: Cloud Hosted Router

When you will do the CHR version for Amazon and Azure please notice that there is not support of remote display and console. The only way to make it accessable is to introduce to network infrastruture and create a real working profile for current routerOS such as Home AP and etc.

Re: Cloud Hosted Router

Only thing I advice to the Mikrotik leading members - you are to late with CHR. The market is ready for about 2 years. Now the migration to cloud is at the end. If you create a VM images able to working in Amazon and Azure you should do that very fast.

Re: Cloud Hosted Router

Hello. I have read this topic and it seems that mikrotik users here are looking for bugs in CHR and talk about it to developers. I think it is not good. The real good thing is the developers should help us to move the CHR or simply the VM image of router OS to current cloud hosted servers such as Az...

Migrating to cloud based on Azure services

Hello. I want to move the current server (configuration) based on Routerboard device to the Azure virtual x86 machine. My plan is to install the X86 router os from iso image and then deploy my configuration from current machine and then moving the VHD image to the Azure service. So, my question: is ...

Re: Why do you remove 411UAHR RB model with COM port?

Who are you guy? Maybe you should become a member of Mikrotik team to say so many words about how Mikrotik must sell? If you so stupid just think about why: - Apple produce new products with extended functionality but with old one too. And the same form factor. - Why motherboards have the standard f...

Re: Why do you remove 411UAHR RB model with COM port?

The arrangments are usually signed between regional supplier and company. We have called every Mikrotik official supplier here in Russia. Also we had a meet between the biggest one here in Russia and me. He told me that 411 models will be under production and stock many time after (it was at the beg...

Re: Why do you remove 411UAHR RB model with COM port?

I think you understand the spec of this 1 part. For example: 1. Generic RS-232. Above 9 volts level polar signal. Stable for impact noise. Till 25 meters long cable. Very reliable connection socket (using screws) 2. USB-UART cable. 5v TTL. Not polar, but differential. Not stable for impact noise. Ve...

Re: Why do you remove 411UAHR RB model with COM port?

If we plug the usb-RS232 cable than the new component will be between router and computer. I told about the reliable connection. It will be less reliable in that case. We have worked a lot of time with FTDI, prolific, CP2102 - the famous generic as you wrote. But in case of terminals or maybe mobile...

Re: Why do you remove 411UAHR RB model with COM port?

NO! Nobody don't use prolific or even ftdi usb-RS232 in terminals. It is not reliable. I am not an Arduino guy. Don't write here idiotic advices. The terminal has its own computer with only COM port available for tuning routers. All other ports included USB are busy. Are you engineers from Mikrotik ...

Why do you remove 411UAHR RB model with COM port?

So, dear Mikrotik. It seems that you do many things without any feedback from users. I present a small company from Moscow. All our infrastructure is based on modules in boxes with 411 RB inside. We use COM port for initial and next tuning the board. Our technical engineers haven't possibility to co...
