Re: Switch Vlan configuration in RB951? Explain like I was a total noob because it just wont work!

This is the working solution: /interface ethernet switch port set eth1 default-vlan-id=2 vlan-header=add-if-missing vlan-mode=secure set eth2 default-vlan-id=2 vlan-header=always-strip vlan-mode=secure /interface ethernet switch vlan add ports=eth1,eth2 switch=switch1 vlan-id=2 Simple as that. I will do what but meanwhile look at your config, is it really complete? There is nothing telling eth1 what to do with the incoming vlan2....

Switch Vlan configuration in RB951? Explain like I was a total noob because it just wont work!

What i want:

eth1 = wan with dhcp client + incoming tagged vlan2
eth2 = untagged vlan2

How do i accomplish this with switch vlan functions instead of bridge vlan?

I have no problem doing it with /interface vlan and /bridge but that uses cpu instead of switch.

Re: Double functionality on external interface

I think I solved it myself. It was to easy.

Put first static ip on a new bridge, add eth1 and vlan to that bridge

Put second static ip on vlan added to eth1 on second router

Done!

Double functionality on external interface

I need help figuring this one out. I have 8 external ip:s and want to use 1 for normal internet access, firewall nat and so on. So far nothing strange. I ALSO want to bridge the external interface to a vlan and send it onwards on the local network so i can assign the second static external ip to a r...

Re: Url-based incoming NAT? Possible

Proxy is not the solution, i want it to forward any traffic aimed at the specified dns name.
Just like using regexp and layer 7 for outgoing traffic. I just dont know if it is possible.

Url-based incoming NAT? Possible

Since there is no more IP4:s in the world, is it possible to dst-nat based on a dns name? What i want to do is this: external ip: 195.67.199.39 www.foo1.com = 195.167.199.39 ==> dst-nat to: 192.168.1.1 www.foo2.com = 195.167.199.39 ==> dst-nat to: 192.168.1.2 www.foo3.com = 195.167.199.39 ==> dst-na...

Recommend hardware for internal 4G/LTE

Hi. Please suggest to me what hardware i should use, preferrably something you have tested working. I need: 2-5 ethernet ports 2.4GHz wifi (output power not important) internal 4G / LTE modem Suitable casing I´ll put hundreds/thousands of those in peoples homes over the coming years, therefore exter...

Re: mAP 2n blinking

Think I have similar problem. Router is at factory defaults, sometimes it works properly but sometimes it wont give out any ip, its not possible to connect by wlan and wifi signal jumps from -95 to about -60db all the time.

Any one solved this yet?

Re: Help with BCP and multiple routers

I solved it using pptp to the "Service" and Eoip to the "Demo" and "Central" but it dont like the speed. Its slow!

Almost like this forum when you have to wait 2 days for posts to get moderated.... :(

Re: Help with BCP and multiple routers

I do it because i need it. I have unintelligent rfid-bases that report their existense by multicast and I also need dhcp to be bridged so the main unit know who is who.

Why is Eoip better then BCP?
