Re: Switch ACL to restrict IP usage [SOLVED]

I finally got it working. After fiddeling around it works when I add a rule at the top to allow all traffic on the customer port. After this rule I can add rules to allow the customer IP, and at the bottom a general drop rule. I also had to add mac-protocol=ip. When the customer changes to another I...

Re: Switch ACL to restrict IP usage [SOLVED]

No change. That is for DHCP and we only use static IP.

Re: Switch ACL to restrict IP usage [SOLVED]

I stumbled accros this thread as I have exactly the same issue. Your solution looks good so I wanted to try it out. But when I do it in my lab the "drop" rule gets triggered as well even if I have an accept rule just before it. According to the Wiki https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/R...

Re: The big CCR2004 reboot thread (was 2004 hardware issues?)

We recently bought two of these for use as BGP routers and I just discovered this topic. We haven't implemented them yet and now I'm a bit anxious about it. We might implement one of them just to see how it behaves.

Re: Bricked Routers

Ok, thank you. These two don't have serial console so I'll just scrap them. But now I have another RB2011 I need to update, and I feel very insecure about it. I'm not sure what will happen.

Re: Bricked Routers

I pulled some old units out of storage. I needed a wireless bridge for a trade show. So I started with an RB751 which had ROS 6.40.1 on it. I wanted to use Wireguard and so I tried to upgrade it to 6.49. The upgrade went fine, I thought, using Winbox. The router rebooted fine and had the OS running...

Inject default route from OSPF into VRF

I'm doing a lab in GNS3 where I want to try out a shared Internet VRF for customers inside my network. I have it all working, but at the moment my default route that I have installed in my Internet PE router is a static route. As I have two edge routers with full eBGP tables I would like to inject t...

Sharp printer and Mikrotik dropped pages

We are hosting alot of terminal servers for customers in our datacenter and are using Mikrotik for the VPN tunnels for the customers offices to connect into our network. Currently we are having major problems with printers where pages starts to get buffered and then suddenly restarts. This results i...
