For months have been unable to login with Tapatalk. Others have posted same thing. As of yesterday or the day before can’t see anything on mikrotik forum using Tapatalk.

Drop Rules and Packet Count

Couple questions about interface lists and drop rules. I'll put the relevant parts of my router below, I assume its enough info. In short, I have a few VLANs each on their own physical interface. I made a LAN interface list and set it to include all and exclude WAN (which is a single interface from ...

Firewall Questions

This is a two part question, maybe I should do different threads but I'll put them in one for now. I'll post my firewall if necessary but maybe we can treat this as more of a general knowledge question. Currently my firewall is basically the MikroTik default rules from an RB3011 plus some additional...

Re: VLANs no switch chip

Thanks, so it appears I'm on the right track then, other than not doing the firewall rules yet. I'll do a few more tweaks and then put this in as active. Just wanted to make sure with the newer changes in 6.4x that I didn't need to reconfigure how I was doing things previously for any reason. Just f...

Re: VLANs no switch chip

Ok, I believe thats what I'm doing then, correct? I have multiple tagged trunk ports (VLANs 2-5) and an untagged trunk for VLAN1. I could tag this one too but Cisco seems to insist on having at least one untagged member per port. I think thats why I left this one as is. Or, I suppose I could create ...

VLANs no switch chip

Hi, I have a CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ which does not have a switch chip. I have VLANs fully working on my installed router that was setup a year or two ago before all of the changes to bridges, etc. I have a second identical router that I thought I'd take advantage of and reprogram to replace my router. Wh...

Re: Script to update Winbox Available From address

Still interested just out of curiosity but it seems the easier way to do it is the address list I made and then putting that address list in the Src. Address List of the firewall rule. In a quick test this seems to work to only allow my office but nothing else.

Script to update Winbox Available From address

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to script an update to the winbox available from address. What I want to do is limit access to winbox on client routers to only my office. However my office doesn't have a static address so I can't set the available from address to my current WAN address because i...

6.33.1 Download

Anyone know where I can download this version? I would need the PowerPC version and the CCR version if possible. I'm having trouble getting my guest VLAN working properly and it worked in 6.33.1. I tried on a client router in 6.33.3 and couldn't get it to work. I updated mine to rule out software an...

Re: Script to compare WAN addresses

Thanks I'll check this out as time permits. We generally need to do several ports for different devices, i.e. home automation system, camera DVR, etc. I generally handle any mikrotik access through winbox with a filter rule in the firewall. You would either add one rule like this to the dstnat chai...

Re: Script to compare WAN addresses

I'm testing it now with no IP address. The tutorials I've followed in the past made it seem like we had to have the IP address there for this to work both inside and outside of the house. Can't remember if I specified or not but what I need to do is connect to a device or devices in the house and o...

Script to compare WAN addresses

Hi, I've been using some scripts created by others to update DynDNS as well as take the current WAN address and update my port forward rules for hairpin NATing, it puts this address in Dst. Address. This is all fine except using the Mikrotik cloud address seems to be better for my needs since it is ...

Mikrotik VLAN passthrough to Internet

I've got a complicated, for me anyway, system that I had to takeover. I need to get VLAN traffic to pass through the mikrotik and out to the Internet. Here is what we have. FIOS ONT to Mikrotik Ether 1. Ether 2 is my computer I'm programming with. Ether 3 feeds a Cisco managed switch. Cisco managed ...

Re: IP Addressing Script

similar to this http://www.dslreports.com/faq/16710. Yeee-ouch. That's nasty and I'm surprised it works at all. All I can say is WTF... What I can say is RouterOS CANNOT have the same address assigned on multiple interfaces. Can you explain why you can't just port forward directly? Supposedly the F...

Re: IP Addressing Script

Hi, I should have clarified I was going to remove Port 5 from the bridge local (if thats the right terminology) and make it a separate network. What I want to do is similar to this http://www.dslreports.com/faq/16710. This is to make Verizon Fios Internet and TV work the best it can while using Mikr...

IP Addressing Script

Hi, I am trying to come up with a script that will get whatever the IP address is on Port 1 (dynamically assigned by my ISP) and then assign this same address to the device I have on Port 5. I can manually do this but want this script to run on schedule in case my WAN address changes. It could run i...
