Re: Mikrotik as Wireguard client behind NAT, loosing connection

I am also having the same issue. Wireguard works fine and suddenly it stops. All I do is to change (+1 port) the client's peer wg port and the server's wg port. It starts working and a couple of days later the customer calls me that VPN is not working anymore. I change it back (-1 port) and it is wo...

That does not really help us, because we only have 802.11AF/AT devices that provide 48V and the Chateau 5G can only use up to 28V. It may have been unintentional. If you make a .backup on one device and restore it on another (not officially supported but works if the two devices are the same model) various things, including the original MAC addresses, are cloned. These can be reset - in Winbox if you open an interface one of t...

Re: vlan by mac address on LAN with multiple mikrotik switches

I managed to do it but it has a stupid requirement to have the bridge vlan filter on else it won't work. One of my devices is a crs112 poe switch and the moment I enable it I loose hardware offloading. If I don't enable it I can see it in the dot1x active clients with the VLAN ID that I assigned but...

So 801.1X MAC-based authorisation then, per the second paragraph in my previous post it is completely transparent to the devices being plugged in.
So I need to set all switch ports as dot1x authenticators if I understand correctly?

I don't think you can do it just like that without 802.1X, which is standard solution towards wired per-port security. While there are some hooks in mikrotik's DHCP server to work with radius, this doesn't cut the corner because at the end of the day, it's the access switch (where some end device i...

Radius can help, but only if LAN forces authentication process for all devices. The authentication process then needs to invilve radius server and might be WiFi WPA2 (the enterprise version) or 802.1X. If the network doesn't enforce authentication, then you could configure MAC-based VLAN on all acc...

I want to update all and set for example comments = "test"
I tried

.id=''
.id="find"
etc
but it doesn't work.

anyone knows how to do that

Re: Branding autorun only runs the first command of the script

/delay 5;
was more than enough... I reset my device at least 20 times and ti worked 100%
without it 9/10 it would fail

NAT - Load Balance traffic to be NATed to several destinations

3 webservers that share the same content connect to one mikrotik. The mikrotik has a nat rule to forward packages with destination port 80 to server1:80 can I load balance with some criteria like the source ip and do for example a round robin to my 3 webservers? In other words to choose dynamically ...
