Re: Switching to new ISP-ROS script for bridge+VLAN+static IP please

You have a mix of default and your own rules in the firewall, so some refer to interface-list WAN and some to interface ether1. I'd recommend to replace all occurrences of interface ether1 in the firewall rules by interface-list WAN, and replace ether1 by WAN_vlan100 as a member of interface-list W...

Re: Switching to new ISP-ROS script for bridge+VLAN+static IP please

Hi all, Thanks for the previous replies - it does connect now - but doesn't appear to use firewall rules - so disconnected for now. Applicable config below: # may/13/2019 14:48:03 by RouterOS 6.44.3 /interface bridge add admin-mac=XXXXXX auto-mac=no comment=defconf name=bridge /interface ethernet se...

Re: Switching to new ISP-ROS script for bridge+VLAN+static IP please

Thanks both for the replies. mkx, I think that you might have nailed it with 'interface list membership', will have to try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Sindy, At the moment just need VLAN ISP facing, but might want to do other VLAN's later - you have another script suggestion? Thanks ...

Switching to new ISP-ROS script for bridge+VLAN+static IP please

Hi, I know that this topic has probably been done to death, but after reading (and trying) a lot of ideas from posts and wikis, not getting very far. We are switching to a new ISP that requires VLAN-ID=100 for internet and a /30 static ip address (for EoIP). This is my first introduction to VLANs wi...

Re: Time to upgrade, what version is everyone using?

6.32.3 ok with with l2lp&ipsec? This might then be an option for the primary gateway router, but there was a post a while ago that it was not suitable for CRS226. Re: Time to upgrade, what version is everyone using?

I have a secondary RB2011UiAS-RM configured as a primary gateway backup, so I will install 6.30.4 on it and let you know how I go.

Just found this post:

From there, the most votes appears to be for 6.30.4

Time to upgrade, what version is everyone using?

Hi all, I was impressed by the flexibility of Mikrotik h/w and RouterOS, so invested in it for our local network. It has worked brilliantly with our 4 x external internet connections (3xADSL, 1xFibre) and the QoS rules required to make it all work in a medium size office. There are two problems I am...

Does CRS125-24G-1S support SFP+ or not?

I have read posts that say 'yes it does work', and even more posts saying 'no it doesn't"

Asking the question.

Re: Inbound port forwarding with multiple ADSL links

Thanks for the reply nest, I realise that I did not provide any details. What worked for me this time was to swich all of the modems to bridge mode and let the RB2011UiAS v6.15 run pppoe clients. As soon as I did that port forwarding worked, so I believe that there must have been some menu config se...

Inbound port forwarding with multiple ADSL links

I have now followed 13 different instructions on this and I cannot get inbound traffic to even get through to the masq rules. I suspect it has something to do with prerouting. Outbound is now working perfectly (after a lot of work), Can someone give an example config of how to get inbound port forwa...

Re: Multiple ADSL connections

After some time on the phone with my ISP today, I am going to have to change how I am trying to do this, and switch from using the modems in bridge-mode to letting them do the pppoe connect, and then routing through them instead.

I'll post when I have it sorted out.

Multiple ADSL connections

Note I am not trying bond the connections together, as I didn't want to complicate things. Also note that IP addresses have been altered to describe the issue. When our company moved location, we had 3 phone lines and 3 separate ADSL accounts provisioned. ADSL1 username1 worked from day one, and the...
