Re: Changing autorun.scr no longer works

This is a user forum Sure, I get that, but there are official MikroTik people who frequent this forum who _can_ reply to posts like this to educate the wider community about previous methods which used to work but have been deprecated or removed because of "xyz". There is a huge open source communi...

Re: Changing autorun.scr no longer works

Do I need to jump up and down for an official answer from MikroTik for this, or have I simply posted in the incorrect forum?

Re: Changing autorun.scr no longer works

The file extension should be "rsc", no? Well, the previous image method had an autorun.scr file in the second partition in the /rw/ folder. This worked flawlessly. The current image method still has /rw/autorun.scr, so I can only assume that because the file exists, that is the file that we're supp...

Changing autorun.scr no longer works

Hi all, Since MikroTik changed the way raw disk images work, autorun.scr no longer works. This is since 6.43.10 stable. The second partition was removed from the raw image and autorun.scr was disabled. There is no significance in the changelog as to why this happened. I am trying to create a simple ...

SSTP Authentication only works sometimes with sstpc

Hey forumites, hoping I can get some assistance on this issue here. Might be a bug in ROS. Currently having a SSTP issue with MikroTik (v6.43.2: CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+) whereby authentication to ppp only works some of the time. If I retry a few times after waiting a bit, it connects successfully. MikroTi...

Re: Multi-homed BGP Traffic Engineering

For anyone wondering how I solved this: - Create VLAN sub-interface between my core and border routers - Create new OSPF instance with new ID, set to only redistribute default route - Change existing OSPF instance default route metric to 20 - Set new OSPF instance default route metric to 1 - Created...

Unfortunately through the same border router. I had the same thought you had of adjusting weight.

Multi-homed BGP Traffic Engineering

Hi forumites. I've got an issue whereby I need to engineer some traffic in such a manner: - I am learning two default gateways from two separate BGP peers - I am learning ~7k routes from further separate BGP peers - I have two separate customer prefixes What I need to do is: - Direct one /24 traffic...

Re: Winbox 3 RC

Having an issue with Winbox... Can't connect to IPv6 addresses.

Can ping the IPv6 addresses and browse using IPv6 but router's IPv6 doesn't come up in neighbour list when opening Winbox.

Re: [Winbox 3 RC9] Menu items missing from v5 routers

Hi Ammer,

Simply go to %appdata%\Mikrotik\Winbox\ and delete/rename the settings.cfg.viw file that you find there. The menus will be restored.

[Winbox 3 RC9] Menu items missing from v5 routers

Hi all, So I have a weird issue, using Windows 8.1 Update + Winbox 3 RC9, some menu items are missing from my Winbox. It is extremely frustrating because it forces me to do everything via command line. Of course the solution would be to simply upgrade these routers but getting downtime to do so is n...

CCR1016-12S-1S+ Performance Issue

Hi forumites, I'm experiencing a performance drop with my CCR1016-12S-1S+, you can see image attached. WinBox GUI updates very slowly compared to usual (even to the next-hop router) and opening an ethernet interface and viewing the traffic graph updates very slowly (every 2nd-3rd interval) compared ...

Re: Winbox 3 RC

Weird issue I've noticed with some v5 routers (mostly 5.26),
(OS is Windows 7 Pro 32-bit)

1st GIF is Winbox 3 trying to open

2nd GIF is Winbox 2 opening

Note, this issue happens if "Open in New Window" is ticked.

CCR1016-12S-1S+ OSPF MD5 Authentication Problem

Hi all, I replaced a core router last night (from RB1100 to CCR1016-12S-1S+) and am now getting an OSPF Authentication problem on v6.23. OSPF comes up for a few seconds then starts discarding packets saying in the log that there's an authentication problem. This has forced me to disable authenticati...

Re: v6.11 released

Hi, Do you know if the IP route cache filling bug (Ticket#2014031066000031) was resolved in this release? Cheers This is perhaps the same issue I'm having. Everything on later 3 (IP) stops responding after a while, can still MAC Winbox but that's about it. Devices this is happening on in my persona...
