Re: Router OS 7 upgrade - "npk missing, use ignore-missing or disable package(s)"

what do you mean by removing?
System --> packages --> ppp ---> uninstall?
And if I perform this, what happens to current PPP vps configurations, e.g OVPN Server, Secrets, Profiles?

Router OS 7 upgrade - "npk missing, use ignore-missing or disable package(s)"

Hi all, I am upgrading a Router OS Virtual machine from 6.49.6 version, to the current 7.2.3 version, using UI. When downloading the packages, I get the following: security-7.2.3.npk,ipv6-7.2.3.npk,advanced-tools-7.2.3.npk,routing-7.2.3.npk,ppp-7.2.3.npk,dhcp-7.2.3.npk missing, use ignore-missing or...

Re: CCR 6.0rc7 105 (No buffer space available) loss of ipv4

The decision to run the v7 beta probably depends more on the available feature set (not all features are available) than on stability. The stability likely is OK (I have not seen frequent complaints about that) but it simply may not be able to do what you need. (when your router is only OpenVPN ser...

Re: CCR 6.0rc7 105 (No buffer space available) loss of ipv4

You will have to hope that version 7 is released in stable form soon. Depending on your usage of the router, it may be possible to test with the beta version. Thanks a lot for your answer pe1chl! Unfortunately, I discovered the issue when the environment was already serving 46 customers, and today ...

Re: CCR 6.0rc7 105 (No buffer space available) loss of ipv4

Situation is even worse with the ROS 6.43.14 (long-term).
I am forced to script a reboot on 8% usage of
/ip route cache get cache-size
.

This is not acceptable, I am forced to reboot once a day disconnecting all VPNs.

Access fields like "Addresses" by scripting

As stated in the subject I'd like to retrieve the "Addresses" field of each dude device name by scripting, since I have to reguraly export them, in an external server. I remotly ssh into the board, and the best I can get seems to be: /dude device print where I just get names of the added d...

Re: ip route cache BUG

Currently it is known that OVPN interface reconnects are responsible for route cache leaks.
this is a very good news, I was not aware of this, thanks.
Do you think there is a better workaround (I mean script so schedule frequently) to avoid rebooting when cache reaches some size?

Re: ip route cache BUG

If you change the hardware, keeping the same configuration, do you have the same issue? Can you reproduce this in a VM? My idea to address the issue was to move from a VM to a physical hardware, but I have the issue in both cases. My device is a OVPN server with 10Mb/s avg traffic. It fills in less...

Re: CCR 6.0rc7 105 (No buffer space available) loss of ipv4

this is still happening in 6.40.4 version on CRS125-24G-1S. It works as OpenVpn server. About 50 interface connected for a week and when cache is about 25%-30% the ipv4 gets lost. Bandwith engaged is 5Mb/s. No CPU. I had to schedule a script to reboot when cache capacity(that grows day by day) reach...

Mikrotik interface hanging in some cases

Hi all, even if I am new to this forum, I am a great fan of MikroTik world. At the moment I manage a small VPN net using MK devices of about 100 clients (RB750, RB951, RB941, RB912, RB433). The main scope of my network is remote management of client's devices. Sometimes, happens that OPENVPN, PPTP, ...

User to configure ONLY the APN field

Hi, I need a way to let user configure only the APN field of a 3g Connection. I don't want him to be able to give a look at all the others configuration of the routerboard. I have tried using skins, but I cannot show only the pptp interface to configure, and VPN would be visible too. Is there a way ...

Re: Known issues and bugs - a list

Hi all, I am trying to dinamically assign IP ADDRESS by DHCP to a interface to use as gateway in some ROUTES. In /ip routes add gateway, if the name of the interface is a PPP one the IP address is retrieved in a right way, when the interface is any ethernet I absolutely need to write the right IP ad...

Re: Customize default-configuration script

in addition:
after I execute the script the certificate has the letter T and not KT, so when the interface tries to connect I get a TLS-FAILED.

How can i recreate a OVPN certificate to work as NETINSTALL DEFAULT CONFIGURATION?

thanks.

Re: Configure Script

has this limitation been overcome?

I have long script to use as default configuration, and it seems not working using netinstall, unless I use the reset configuration and run-after-reset function.

But I need to set it from netinstall to be the default configuration if my clients reset the device.

Re: Customize default-configuration script

further,
my default configuration would imply routerBoard to be a OVPN client, so I need to import certificates, and assign it to the OVPN interface.

Is it possible to export this too is some way to be applied to a default configuration?

Thanks.

Re: Customize default-configuration script

I am trying to export a rsc file to add it to a netinstall to Routerboard, but after that, I always get a blank configuration, and I must use the winbox to connect to the Router, since I cannot use the default ip addres 192.168.88.1, and since my new default configuration is not loaded as default. Servers cannot connect each others.
They can talk with openvpn Server only, and the Server is a software and not a routerBoard.

Thanks for your suggestions :)

Re: set the apn using APIs hiding Routerboard configuration

I'll absolutely will do that.

My application will work with a single password, since all my clients have the same password, so I'll recover it in a little bit different way than yours, otherwise, if I'll have time, I'll design it to grab that from a list of all my clients vpn ips.

thanks

could it be possible to get the current configuration of Router using the /export command to get the RSC file, and deploy this with netinstall to get my current configuration every time I reset the router with the physical button?

Thanks.
