Multicast over VPN - PIM setup?

I know this is a tricky one, I had no luck in the beginner forums. I wanted to move the topic, but couldn't figure out how, so this is a re-post. I am trying to send broadcast/multicast traffic (DLNA) over a VPN, from a media server(Plex) on a different network. What is the correct method to do this...

Re: IGMP Proxy vs PIM - over VPN

Can I move this to "Forwarding Protocols" forum, as I don't think "Beginner Basics" is the right place for it. Or do I need to re-post?

IGMP Proxy vs PIM - over VPN

I know this is a tricky one.

I am trying to send broadcast/multicast traffic (DLNA) over a VPN, from a media server on a different network.

What is the correct method to do this? PIM or IGMP Proxy? and what would the config look like.
Below is my network.

IPSEC VPN + Broadcast - Is it possible?

Hi I have the setup in the diagram. I am trying to use DLNA (broadcast) on the smart TV over the IPSEC VPN. The VPN is working fine, ping ect... However I know broadcasts wont work between two networks. Is there a way I can forward the broadcasts in both directions? I think I need to use IGMP-Proxy ...

Re: Public IP WAN IP Per a Physical Interface

I've managed to get it working. I trided using a switch insted of a bridge and it worked.... went back to a bridge as above and its now working. Not sure, maybe it was a config issue? maybe it just needed a reboot. What would be the best way to bandwith limit the server interfaces. I tried to limit ...

Re: IPSec Problems

Hello,

I was on 5.24 and upgraded to 5.26.
Had the same issues....

Now running on version 6.11 and still the same problem.

So I think it is a configuration issue – maybe a mismatch. Anyone know what settings would cause a “none” “none” on the encryption/auth SAs?

Thanks

IPSec Problems

Hi All, I am having difficulty establishing a site-to-site IPSEC VPN with a 3rd party (FortiGate) from our mikrotik. I am getting “none” on the Auth/Encr Algorithms when looking at the SA’s. Below are some logs and my config. 10.43.54.0 is my local LAN and 192.168.101.0 is the Remote LAN. I can’t se...
