Re: Replacing RJ45 ethernet connector on Ruterboard

I recently replaced a port on my CCR1036, however that is an shielded gigabit port: https://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/ABR ... 9CZsznU%3D

I'm sure Abracon makes regular plastic ones. Its fairly simple, just desolder and replace.

Re: CCR1036-8G-2S+EM physical ethernet port, where to get?

May i ask what was connected in that specific Port ?
It was connected to a RB951 at the time, the RB951 did not suffer any damage.

Re: CCR1036-8G-2S+EM physical ethernet port, where to get?

All the other ports work? Also, its not that simple, its not the actual ethernet port but the circuit behind that port... All other ports work, so first step is to replace the ethernet port, since it off board, gives faulty readings and makes me believe the physical port pcb is toast. I'm prepared ...

CCR1036-8G-2S+EM physical ethernet port, where to get?

Hi. My CCR1036-8G-2S+EM got hit by lightning, and by diagnosing, it seems like one of the physical ethernet ports was damaged. Should read about 150 ohm between RX and TX line, but currently reads many M ohms. Does anybody know where to buy one, or know who the manufacturer is? https://ucaf4a08daf4a...

Hotspot on Layer 3

Hi. I'm aware of the challenges of using Hotspot on L3 networks. However I'm curious about using L3 networks with DHCP-relays. If one was to use DHCP-relay, the router that runs hotspots would know the "active mac address" of the client, but would see the next hop routers mac address and u...

Dynamically set parent queue for hotspot clients

Hello. I am running into a issue with hotspot clients sharing a limited bandwidth. What I want to do is to be able for a guest to login with multiple devices, with the same username, and to be limited at a total of say 10M for both these devices. If the guest is only using one device (one login), th...

Check your log. Maybe the DHCP lease expires?

Re: 100Mbps SFP in RB2011

Ah, that makes sense. The SFP I bought supports dual rate, and as far as I can see, communication with the SFP itself works fine. Is it possible to force the SFP to do 100Mbps? I get a link at 1Gbps when turning off auto-negotiation, but it seems I cannot get any data through. Probably because the S...

100Mbps SFP in RB2011

Hi.

I just bought a dual rate BiDi SFP for my RB2011, but I cannot get a link.
My ISP is running 100Mbps, but no matter what I do, I cannot get it to work. How do I get a link?

Re: Hotspot login by posting to login.html

I'm using HTTP PAP, and the login actually works. I'm given internet access after doing the post request. However, I'm not getting a sensible response when doing the request, probably because I'm doing an XHR request, and the mikrotik has not set Access-Control-Allow-Origin header. I have tried addi...

Hotspot login by posting to login.html

Hi. I'm trying to login hotspot users by issuing an ajax call to eg. http://10.5.50.1/login. From chrome browser, I'm receiving "No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present..", however, the user is actually logged in successfully. When trying with curl, eg: curl -L -X post -d '{&quo...
