Re: NEW hw request, wish, desire

We are in the stage to deploy Windows VDA to our customers, in connection with this topic, an old topic comes up: A problem with Terminal Clients or PCs is the use of USB devices and forward them to the clients VM. So one idea is using an usb device server, there are some solutions on the market lik...

Re: v7.3beta [testing] is released!

chr updatet from 7.2.1 to 7.3beta33 with success

still no ipv6 traffic over eoip (ipv4) interface
no traffic over an eoip-bond (active-backup with arp-monitoring) when interface is assigned to a bridge, monitoring ip of bonding-interface moves to bridge ?
same setup with ros 6.49 works as expected

eoip in RouterOS 7.2rc7 broken?

I have made a test between RB3011/RouterOS 6.49.5 and a CHR/RouterOS 7.2rc7 When I create eoip (ipv4) interfaces on both sides and assign private IPv4-Adresses to both ends, I can ping them as expected. When I assign IPv6 (fd::1/126 - fd::2/126) to both ends, I can not ping the other side. Doing the...

Re: Mikrotik based Management Box

@mada3k, you are right from your point of view. But none of the external KVM/IP-Solutions offers GPIO-Pins nor have they build in Firewall or VPN capabilities which would be comparable to a RouterOS based device and I know no solutions which would be scriptable or could execute scheduld tasks. Actua...

Mikrotik based Management Box

Oracle has changed and removed support for older java version, but there are millions of servers out there which have java based remote management feature like IPMI. For most of the systems there is no further vendor support and the management cards will not get updates for newer java versions or ht...

Re: IPsec Performance

All firewall rules are deleted, no nat rules /tool profile NAME CPU USAGE ethernet 0.5% console 0% networking 4.3% management 0.1% telnet 0% unclassified 0.1% total 5% And no noticeable load. The problem exists if the hEX does the encryption, the tunnel und the routing.

Re: IPsec Performance

Hi, actually I make some tests with hEX Gr3 and EOIP over IPSec and I noticed some extreme performance differences depending if the hEX does routing or not. I have a Intel Atom based server in a hosting location with RouterOS i386 6.40.3 as remote side and in our local office we have a 100/40 MBit/s...

Re: CHR: EoIP+IPSec performance?

42 is a good guess, i can confirm 42 MB/s between two chr on different Hosts on Intel i7 6700 using linux kvm with eop+ipsec with a p1 test license

Re: NEW PRODUCTS WISHLIST 2015

I would like to see some CRS Modells with 8,12 or even 16 10G SFP+ ports in 19" case for rack mounting.
They do not need heavy routing features, they would be useful as a top of rack switch.

Re: Voip over OpenVPN !

We use RB2011, RB951G & CRS125 in our Offices. All Offices are connected to simple DSL 16000 uplinks. We have OpenVPN tunnels to our hosting colocation with a central asterisk server. There is no problem with voip and we use the HD Codec (G722). We implemented some qos rules, so that heavy downl...

Re: Feature request: OpenVPN compression LZO and UDP

+1 Would like to see these Features too

We use more OpenVPN-Tunnels than IPSec, since it is more robust und has no problems behind other Nat-Router

Re: CRS fiber?

We need something like a top of rack switch, with 8-16 10GE SFP+ ports - since there seems no product to exist from any vendor. Cisco and all other suppliers have only "BIG" solutions with 24 ports and more and only for many, many $$$ Existing small solutions have 1-2 10GE SFP+ Ports and 8...

Re: CRS226-24G-2S+RM soon ?

Yeah,
would like to see this, too.

I have no installation at customer side, were I have a need for a switch with 10GE Uplink in a desktop case.
All installations are done in a rack or 19" wall mount case, so we need the rack mount version
