incorectly shows SMS sender number

Hello! I cant understand, why my Mikrotik in SMS inbox folder shows not sender phone number but some kind of string "3##5a4683#5a*693xxxx" RBD53GR-5HacD2HnD, 6.48.3 & 6.48.4, R11e-LTE6_V027 & R11e-LTE6_V028 Surprisingly - when I tested SMS receiving in June 2021, this wasn't workin...

Why with QuickSet MT SXT CPE Configuration: Bridge Wireless Protocol: nv2 automatically uses Wireless Mode: Station-pseudobridge, which isn't compatible to nv2 ? What this incompatibility means? Recently i configured some SXTs AP + CPE for transparent L2, but nothing goes right. If I remember correc...

Re: 6.23 released!

I didnt have much time for testing, but I think there is some problem:
Android phones and Planshets can't connect to VirtualAP. There wasn't such a problem in 6.19 and 6.22
Maybe anyone can confirm and give a solution?

Maybe MT need to add some more functionality to Update menu - version selection with pros and cons (known bugs); there can be also some test/alpha/beta/stable etc selection, so everyone could decide Update or not to update and which version to update? Just suggestion..

Re: 6.22 released!

Yesterday upgraded one of my Home WiFi AP (RB411UAH) from 6.21 to 6.22 - so far so good. Nothing extraordinary. For greater clarity I must say I use only few features - VirtualAP, WPA/WPA2, PPTP VPN, some basic scripts with e-mailing.. But I want to ask - why there is wireless and wireless-fp packag...

Re: POE over 4 wires (2 pair)

I'll try to explain what I would do in that situation.. MT Gigabit PoE adapters work both ways - as injector and as well as splitter. You can use 2 pairs to transmit power and data, but crimp connector to pins 4,5,7,8. Recrimp both Gigabit PoE injectors (or build adapters - RJ45 jack <-> RJ45 connec...

And do not be surprised when af pass-through won't powering chained af device because two devices exceeds PSE power limits.
I think mAP PoE out is useful only as replacement for MT PoE injector to power some SXT or something like that outdoors.

No, i didn't mean PTZ cameras (they are powered by 24V AC), but DS-2CD212, 2032, 2112, 2132 powered by 24V DC from Mikrotik over ethernet.

Re: RB260GSP is it giga POE OUT?

MikroTik develope it's own PoE standard for Gigabit. I don't know surely, what's inside MT gigabit PoE injector (the white one), but IMHO, the standart is the same passive Gigabit PoE, but the voltage isn't. If MT expand supply voltages PoE: 8-30V DC on Ether1 (Non 802.3af). Jack: 8-30V DC to 48 Vo...

Re: RB260GSP is it giga POE OUT?

Gigabit passive injectors use a transformer on the data pins to allow power and data to share the cable and is typically compatible with 802.3af Mode A. So there is a possibility that these switches could power such a 802.3af device. I say - MT switch or router Gigabit PoE output not compatible wit...

Re: RB260GSP is it giga POE OUT?

IMHO it's not tehnically dificult to add PoE to gigabit port so it will be silly, if MT limit port to 100mbit when using PoE.
But because it's not 802.3af or at standart PoE, it can't be used for IP cams or IP phones. It can only supply another (MT) Gigabit (and 100Mbit) device with passive PoE input.
