Re: RB4011 drops and snmp

Hi, I changed the configuration to fast path instead of connection tracking disabled. This clearly lowers the number of rx drops over a period of time. About a factor 10 in my case. Based on the graphs graph.png 5 min avg highest traffic peak is 800 mbit, 400 in and 400 out. 30 min 1 week average sp...

Hi EdPa, Indeed your snmp oid works. I didn't know that the snmpwalk would not reveal them. Thanks, this solves my monitoring issue. Hi All, After somedays: No more TX Pause which makes sense because flowcontrol is disabeld, so this is solved. RB4011 drops and snmp

Hi, I have a RB4011 with only one 10 Gbit link routing/firewalling traffic. (6.44.6, and firmware 6.43.7) Works okay for about 18 months. Today I noticed some counters which did not show up in the monitoring or should not be there. [admin@x] /interface ethernet> print stats name: ether1 ether2 ether...

I'm still struggling with updating Mikrotiks. The last years exploits became very common. Whether or not the firewall prevents the Mikrotik from being exploited, as a commercial company you do not want any risk. When a customer’s sees an old version the have there doubts… And I don’t blame them. The...

Re: API in The dude server

It's a pity that I can't really use the dude to update all routers. With the current bug finding, it seems necessary to have a very good check / update system. The lack of an API/CLI to added devices really prevents us of adding all the devices. I can't use discovery since the routers are not in a s...

I'm also looking for an API for the Dude. EoIP MTU setting not working with packets being bridged

Dear forum & Support, MTU on the EOIP tunnel is partly working. It seems I cannot always control which MTU size is really used. If you generate a packet local all is fine (probably if you route also). But if you truly bridge it, the max MTU is always the size of the leaving interface. This is th...

Hi

Thanks. I know. From production point of view it's nice to see if a certain feature drops packets.

Use the RP Filter saves me from many firewall rules.
Linux kernel seems to be able to log what is dropped by RP.
