Re: Set interface VLAN0 on new CCR2004 device

That command is only possible on devices with switch chips which are exposed to comnands (i.e. not the CRS3xx line). CCR2004-16G-2S+ has two switch chips (but ROSv7 might not expose tgem via UI, I've no experirnce with new CCR2004 so I don't know) while CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS hasn't got any switch chip...

Set interface VLAN0 on new CCR2004 device

In the past i have set the interface vlan0 on a RB4011 with this command:
/interface ethernet switch port
set 0 default-vlan-id=0

Is there a way to do that on ROS 7 and the new CCR2004 devices?

Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

My traffic works for 1 minute or sometimes 3-4 days. I have been working on two support cases on the vlan traffic and the flapping port speed/link issue. Separately, i have added a fourth fan to the CPU cooler than 68C more like 48-56C. As a side note, that has not changes the operation, but seems m...

I have run into a similar issue on my device. What i have noticed and am waiting feedback from support for is a simple supported vlan filtering configuration. I assign the first few ports (ether1-6) to vlan=10 and within a few hours or a day, but the vlan is un-reachable randomly. If i reboot the sw...

Re: CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ (Heat issue?) [SOLVED]

In the noctua fan kit it has the rubber pull grommets. I pulled them into a loop and it sits between the ports and the cpu heat sink at a near 45 angle. I will have to take it apart to get a pic, but that is the right idea.

Here is a pic of the stats in the mean time.

Re: CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ (Heat issue?) [SOLVED]

I have also experienced the high temps. When i add traffic, the CPU reaches 72C. I have removed the lid and added a 4th fan, a noctua 40mm blowing at an angle on the cpu. This keeps the temp in the high 40s or low 50s with traffic. I was able to use the rubber mounting with the fan kit to hold and w...

I have run into this issue too. you should be able to console the switch and configure it to boot RouterOS again as i have. It should then boot. Also interestingly, i was not able to netinstall a different version of RouterOS. I think the switch is new and needs a bit of software work yet.

I have seen this issue with a CHR on VMware ESXi 6.5U1 and Mikrotik verison 6.40.1-3 and recent RCs. I have not had a chance to test further yet as i also have a CCR1036 that does not show the issue. Re: CCR/CRS Slow Upload-Speed on single TCP-Connection using SFP

i also have a CCR1036 with the 2 sfp+ ports and have notice odd behavior with tx/rx numbers and transceivers. Additionally i have seen issues with IPv4 between TCP/UDP. I seem to have less issues with IPv6 and TCP/UDP. I will try and find a previous post of mine with additional details. I can say th...

V7 ALPHA/BETA Testers needed?

Support, At some point when you get closer to the release of alpha or beta will you need early testers? I ask because i have liked the Mikrotik RouterOS for a long time and have potential with the CHR platform or my CCR1036-8G-2S+ router on 10Gbps in my home. I keep logs and Solarwinds Orion network...

[quote="chechito"]i see you tested with 30 parallel streams would be interesting to see the test with 36 parallel streams, also interesting to see: -same results as 12-36 streams max total cpu usage: -11 and less streams do not send enough data to max out the cpu cores using tools-profile ...

CCR 1036-8G-2S+ CPU or software bottleneck @ 6.7Gbps

Anyone else seeing udp performance results like this? I have had the CCR 1036-8G-2S+ since launch in the USA and have only just gotten a 10gbps internet service. Previously i had only used the CCR on up to 1Gbps. I have tested a few different ways but have just started testing with iperf3: "ipe...

Iperf3 speed tests with ccr1036 @ 10gbps - issues

Iperf3 speed tests with ccr1036 @ 10gbps - issues I have run a series of iperf3 speed tests and have found and issue with 6.34.2 and current 6.35rc26 where an interface can receive traffic but the out interface is transmitting a lower volume of data. If i flip the direction same issue happens. i hav...

Re: Comcast and IPv6 Basic Config

Agreed, but i have a block of ipv4 static and have to use the comcast gateway. :( The HE tunnel or other options also work. It too bad that the configs used work so well on residential or owned hardware. I have never liked the SMC gateway.

Re: Comcast and IPv6 Basic Config

Thank you for the quick reply. That did get me really close. I have a WAN interface ip address (2601:XXXX:c380:5400::/64) and now a prefix delegation of (2601:XXXX:c380:54ff::/64) my client has an auto ip from the delegation but still has the link local of the router for gateway. Fine i assume, but ...

I am trying to configure IPv6 on a remote site with a single /64 but have not seen a full working config for a router board yet. In testing i have created a dhcp client and pool. I can assign an ip from the pool wi...

Re: Cloud Hosted Router

All the details of the licensing scheme are not yet known or cannot be disclosed. For now, you have limitations of Free tier - that is 1MBps of throughput. I tested the latest CHR 6.32rc5 and have found that the bandwidth test tools do work now. Interestingly i was able to push gigabit speeds in th...

Re: /64 IPv6 allocation with static and dynamic addressess

If i set advertise=yes ffor RA then my static machines also get an RA address which is not needed. So the static machines would be link-local, static, and RA. Any way to tell windows static and link local?

There is always a use case. I have a ccr with two connections in a active active setup and the mangle rules combined with 3 routing tables is massive. Re: Portforwarding VPN

you have to mark traffic from the server and then give it a route to take priority over the default traffic flow out the local gateway. The way i have done this in the past was to create an address list of servers and mangle the address list with a route mark. once you have the route mark you can cr...

ZeroByte, that is the issue that al vendors face. I saw two bugs in the past year where they were brought back on accident but Mikrotik was very fast to fix them.
