Was it a "hack"? Would be nice to make that page useful; as it is we block ALL access to the existance of it.posting hacks here is not tolerated
Yep, same deal for the WRAP boards with compact flash drives. Only issue might be a change in drive geometry in an older motherboard.GotNet, does it really work...it would be a great news..
Lastest firmware here http://routerboard.com/rb100.html is 2.7.please check if firmware is up to date of the router. i checked with AR5412 and everything worked like a cahrm, if firmware version was 2.8
Just did 30 yesterday with mac. Just don't use secure mode.Thats what I did the firt time. I almost always do it that way. But, I doesn't work untill you set an IP and connect to the IP. It doesn't work if you winbox to the mac address.
It is installed (default disabled). Must use CLI.Can someone else confirm that it is in 3.0beta8.
I am unable to find it in the /tool list as the wiki suggests.
I also checked for a new version of winbox thinking it needed to be updated, but no such luck.
Read what?we also writing a great controller for MT running on every kind of Os , and its also not for public use , that is why its so great cose no one , no one at all can see it
note : my message is not for public reading please .
Except for maybe major revs that could change interface numbers... Careful there.can I upgrade RB's by using winbox WIRELESSLY ???
Thanks, sometimes can't figure out who represents MT in this "user-to-user" forum. No, distance from my office up to office of MT - 1 km, therefore a package has reached me much more quickly than up to YouGot the lottery numbers too?
Wow! Now the new POE standard will be PWCOE (Power Water Cooling Over Ethernet).2 - 3x faster?
So is that answer something like this?
rb532 over clocked to 400mhz x 2 = 800mhz
rb532 stock speed 266mhz x 3 = 798mhz
It's worse getting a call from the field: "Is the orange LED on?" "No, the two orange LEDs are blinking."Without RouterBOARD, you would still not know about thisCrap people, I'm color blind!
!You can change the firmware in the Turbocell CPE to work wit standard WiFi, I have a lot of the old KN50 CPE , and im trying to put in the CB3 firmware on it so then i can use it anyway .
See third post. It has been added to the downnload page as a test package.---rstp package can be found in all-in-one package for upgrade - routeros-2.9.38-ns.npk
maybe later we need it, here very xpensive for bw to downloading...
Where are you really?I'm sure I'll find something to do...
But in the mean time i would really like to meet new people and possibly learn a little bit more about how things are done around here.
Perhaps i could get your email or MSN name?
Twenty minutes is a long hop on my network! Maybe with the RSTP package I'll pick the best path.To GotNet,
Sten has moved to the US and is living about 20 minutes from you, maybe you could put him to work! LOL GotWork?
There is a command to reset the mac of eth. Doesn't work on wlan.I have checked the config and yes, was my mistake, when import the config from another rb the mac was changed.
Thanks for the answers.
Good idea except the card still transmits the SSID even after disable. And after shutdown if the box is still powered. Why is a good question.I guess you could use a ping script/netwatch to shutdown the wireless upon failure?
The PC version (x86) is for wrap. With Netinstall for 2.9.38 it never sees my drives to install to. With the pc version it does, but not the routerboard version. Anyoe have an older version of netinstall I can use to fix this or any other suggestions
You can't drag and drop without Winbox. In this case, the manual needs to be read. No! Why do you guys always find the most difficult ways. Drag and drop will suffice. Or FTP: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Upgrading_RouterOS
This version (the .37 posted today) works on the 112s. But the bridge port came up as unknown so check your settings on anything that references the ethernet port. Can anyone verify with RB112 to see if it is also effected by this?
How to do that since the flash is non-removable and even "format nand" preserves the license? Maybe writing a different OS?as far as i understood from his support email, he forcefully reinstalled the onboard OS and wiped the license
Did you try that test with an actual topic link? Thirteen seconds to load this one.well strange, tools like this show no problems now:
