Re: CCR1072 watchdog reboot

Yes we are running latest long term version 6.42.9 We have had this problem in several versions. We have swapped out different hardware We have opened support ticket, were told the only way to trouble shoot this was to turn off watch dog and see what appears on the console port. The router is a two ...

Re: CCR1072 watchdog reboot

These random reboots are becoming very annoying. Looking for a replacement solution, but have not found one with at least 3 SFP+ ports. We do a lot of MPLS and VPLS on this box, have not been able to use CHR on either VMWare or Hyper-V. Recently upgraded to 6.42.9 Long Term, and still get random wat...

HotSpot and VPN Question

We are trying to implement Radius Authentication and Accounting in our network. We use Public IP's and DHCP to assign them to our customers, while DHCP can use Radius for Authentication it does not support Accounting. Therefore, we tried implementing HotSpot to implement accounting. Setup as follows...

Changed the interfaces to use 1 through 5, and the problem has gone away.

Thanks for the responses.

Re: WinBox is slow with MPLS

Yes there are multiple IP address assignments. I have configured ports 11, 12, and 13 to be ospf/mpls interfaces. Loopback0 to be the transport address. Ports 1 - 10 are for local connections. I find that Winbox speed is the same no matter what IP I connect to. Bandwidth speed tests are fine, to any...

WinBox is slow with MPLS

When we enable MPLS on a 1100AHx2, Winbox becomes slow. For example, if we open an interface to watch traffic, it updates very slow and seems to miss some periods in time. Also, with MPLS enabled we cannot access Webfig at all. There does not seem to be a performance hit on the routing. The L2MTU of...

Best 802.11n Card R52Hn or SR71

We are about to try our first N backahul setup, and have a need for several more. After reading a lot on this forum, it seams as though people are having paroblems with both the R52Hn and the SR51 cards. Can people using these two cards please post their opinion of which is the best card for PtP sol...

Wireless Bridge with Management VLAN

We recently purchased some RB411 boards with R5H radios for PtP links. Equipment has version 3.28 installed. We installed the first link this week, the link works great. However, we have a problem. The units are setup as a wireless bridge, with a Management VLAN(100) attached to the bridge interface...

Passive FTP over EoIP

We have several EoIP tunnels (MikroTik V2.9 51) running over a Cisco MLPS network which give us Layer 2 network connections from remote tower sites back to our main office. On this Layer 2 connection, we have a managemnt VLAN which all of our wireless equipment works on. Customer traffic is untagged...

PPPoE not releasing connections.

In version 2.9.14 we started noticing the the PPPoE-Server is not releasing connections properly. 1st; We have one-session-per-host=yes, however we sometimes see more than one login from a client. All our clients use D-Link routers, so the MAC address never changes. 2nd; We have session-timeout=1d i...

I think we should all realize that this card is a CPE solution not a base station.

That said, I would also love to see support for this as we are now running a WiMAX trial and would like to have an alternative CPE solution based on a platform we already trust.

Policy Routing

NO, I don't think it is the same at all. We currently have load balancing working. With the clients traffice being equally divided amoung the uplinks. I want to route individual customers out a single interface with two routing tables as is explained in Policy Routing in V2.8 ie: IP's 10.3.0.1 10.3....

Policy Routing in V2.9

Is Policy Base routing available in V2.9B8? If not, will it be available? I would prefer to use this over load balancing. Load balancing seems to have a slight problem with programs like MSN, the connection intermittently drops. I assume this happems when the application switches destination IP's an...

Source Address Routing

Is there a way to have packets from an IP allways go out one interface. We have three Wan Interfaces, each assigned an IP by DHCP. We load balance between Wan1 and Wan2 On Wan 3, we need to have dst-nat to another router, that has a dmz video server. I set NAT as follows; chain=srcnat src-address=10...

PPPoE Disconnecting

We have clients logging into 2.9b6 using PPPoE keepalive-timeout is set to 0, so the router should never disconnect the clients. The clients are set to not hangup, or have an inactive timer of 1440 minutes (24 hours) However, the connections are being disconnected at random times. Most of the client...

Beta Load Balance

Ok, I figured out the load balance I think.

I had defined two default routes instead of one default route with two gateways.

Why in the IP Route level does "remove" not work?
I get the following error "std failure: not implemented (3)"

Hello, we are new to Mikrotik but so far like the product. We purchased an ISP license, and are willing to buy Level 6 if we can get this all working. First, we are using the beta because of multiple DHCP clients. Our current configuration is: Two ethernet cards (eth0 eth2) connected to two ADSL 4.0...
