Re: POE-out failure?

With low voltage poe there is a limit - 1A (1000mA) thru ethernet port/cable. If you power your power-box from another poe-out device, than this limit clearly apply to your case. Also I see that you have only 20.6 volts on poe-out-voltage. Do you use stock power adapter (24v @ 2.5A, you should see 2...

Re: 6.42.1 POE Overload

I upgraded my Mikrotik Powerbox Pro to 6.42.1 due to the winbox security issue. I am not getting overload POE errors on a port that is connected to a Nanostation M2 Loco. Anyone else having this issue or can offer a fix? Poe-out logs where added quite recently (version 6.40) - maybe you had that pr...

Re: RB750Gr3 with PoE. When?

You mean the literal hEX PoE? https://mikrotik.com/product/RB960PGS Yes, but... If you power the hEX PoE with 24V, it only does passive PoE. If you power it with 48V, it only does 802.3af/at. So if I have two af/at devices (e.g., a wsAP ac lite and a cAP ac), and two passive PoE devices (e.g., an R...

Re: wap-ac PoE issue with Dlink switches , help needed please !

Are all the patch-cables the same (All the pach cables "regular" or "cross-over")? I once had a problem with short-circuit "random-magic" caused by bad/incorrect patch cable. I tried different APs and even different poe-switch, but problem persisted because of that bad cable that I randomly re-used....

Re: wap-ac PoE issue with Dlink switches , help needed please !

According to DGS-1210 manual you can see total power consumed and power available in the switch interface interface ( ftp://ftp.dlinkla.com/pub/DGS-1210-20/DGS-1210%20Series_B1_Manual_v2.00(WW).pdf , pages 78-80). Can tell what you see when you connect 8 wap-ac devices? How much power is consumed an...

Re: Timer for Poe out?

Hi, Is it possible to switch on or off the Poe with regard of the clock? I.e. I would like it to start at 7am and shut off at 1am every day. First you need to create two scripts - one to switch on poe-out on desired ethernet port and another to switch it off: /system script add name=ether5_poe_out_...

Re: Extend multiple vlans over ptp link

First Configure your network so, that "regular internet" from LAN4 works (PC that is connected DEV_3) must be able to reach internet). Tip - leave LAN3 cable and IPTV cable unconnected while you do this. Then use EoIP (Interfaces -> EoIP Tunnel) to transport IPTV packets on top of this "regular" net...

Re: Public IP - problem with IP Cloud

Sometimes the new IP address under menu IP/Addresses is the usual i see on http://www.whatsmyip.org
What address you see in IP Address (on your router) when it differs from address detected by http://www.whatsmyip.org ?
