Re: VPN and access to remote network

Can you place the VPN router between the existing default gateway device on the remote network and all the other devices (i.e. that traffic from all the devices would have to physically pass through the VPN router to the default gateway device)? Unfortunately no - we often can't access/change defau...

Re: VPN and access to remote network

You can use srcnat on VPN router, to hide everything coming from 192.168.2.0/24 to 192.168.1.0/24 behind common 192.168.1.240. Because 192.168.1.240 is local address for any other 192.168.1.x, they will know where to send responses. And VPN router will know that they belong to connections from remo...

VPN and access to remote network

Please see diagram - I am wanting to reach devices on the remote network that have a different gateway to the VPN router. I am not able to access the remote networks usual default gateway to add routes. Any suggestions as to how I could accomplish this?

OSPF over SSTP Tunnel

I recently started playing with using OSPF and getting it to work over our SSTP secure VPN. The SSTP VPN is working just fine, but I wanted to be able to add routes dynamically instead of setting them statically each time we connect to the VPN. I have used OSPF successfully in the past on different ...

Mikrotik as L2TP/IPSEC Client

I have been trying to get a Mikrotik CRS125 configured as a L2TP/IPSEC client to connect to a remote VPN server. I can connect to the server using the username, password and shared key provided, if I use a Windows laptop, or a Mikrotik on my internal network. However, as I am wanting to establish a ...

Re: Windows 10 and netinstall

I found that I had to run it under Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Re: Mikrotik to Microsoft VPN

Further to this, when attempting to connect to the MS PPTP server, the log indicates authentication is successful, but terminates stating Encryption got out of sync.

If I continuously ping a device over the vpn, it will eventually work.

Mikrotik to Microsoft VPN

Microsoft 2012 R2 Server configured as PPTP Server. Mikrotik Routerboard (any one) configured as PPTP Client Mikrotik PPTP Client connects, but fails to obtain IP address. This happens whether the Mikrotik is behind a firewall or not. Windows PC's can connect fine, so I'm guessing the PPTP server is...
