It definitely seems to be a QA issue because we have dozens in service with no issues but then we hit a block of three in a row that failed like this then back to another string of no failures...

We've now had two die on us after only a few days of running.... No lights, no console, no fans, nothing.

It's another incident of the tile NAND bug, 6.16 supposedly is the fix for this.

Yea this issue is cleared temporarily by a reboot but as Normis says, 6.16 will cure it so I'm happy.

Reboot fixed it for us, just waiting on 6.16 release now.

Part of this is probably also the fact that it isn't forwarding these packets but rather having to dump them, and that can be costly since there is no fastpath entry etc for them so you're processing 600kpps in software essentially.

It is, a reboot will restore it in the short term, 6.16 will fix it in the long term.

Not that I know of, but boy I would buy that in a heartbeat.

The way I've always done this is use an empty bridge interface to "hold" the static IP assignments like a loopback interface on cisco/juniper and then setup your dst-nat from there, you can also then at that point setup masquerading on those IPs for outbound if you wanted as well.

The other side supports up to 9216.
