Re: Caution Mikrotik hEX PoE lite (RB750UPr2)

Hello all, does anyone know if this issue happens on hEX Gr3 as well? Had a usb drive stop responding after RouterOS and firmware upgrade/reboot, and it got me wondering if this is related.

Just as the user above described, I too don’t have the needed tools to test it.

Thanks in advance.

Re: v6.39.3 [bugfix] is released!

Hi everybody,

Just to report that I updated some CAPs (1 x wAP, 2 x mAP Lites, 2 x hAP AC Lites, 1 x hAP Lite), a RB2011UiAS-2HnD which mainly operates as L2TP-Client and CAPsMAN and a RB750Gr3, which operates mainly as CAPsMAN, L2TP-Server and Dude Server.

So far everything working as expected.

RB260GS/RB260GSP SNMP monitoring on The Dude

Greetings, I´m having trouble monitoring one RB260GS and one RB260GSP with The Dude, and would like to know if someone have this setup working. I read that these devices have weak processor on another topic, but the thing is that monitoring it through PRTG works fine. Tried increasing the probe inte...

Re: Protected RouterBOOT

It seems to me that you are following the procedure that only applies to very old devices, that need a special package. This package is no longer compatible with new RouterOS. We will soon make new packages. But you don't need this package. You can just enable this feature from the console: /system...

Re: Protected RouterBOOT

So, tried the step-by-step on two mipsbe RBs (mAP-2n and RB951G), and on both I get the error "FAILED to enable protected RouterBOOT: code 14". Tried to search for this error, but couldn´t get any results. Can anyone confirm if this error means these RBs are not supported (too old) or if ...

Thanks for checking it out. Turns out that my primary server wasn't working, and for some reason it would not use the secondary.

Sorry for the false alarm.

Re: v6.38.5 [current]

Upgraded hEX-Gr3, RB2011UiAS-2HnD, couple of hAP lites, couple of hAP AC lites, mAP-2n, RB951G, couple of mAP lites and a wAP. So far no problems. On hEX I've experienced something strange, but not only in this version, and sometimes PPPoE client would come up "dead" after upgrade, and I h...

Was going to test it, but since you already did, just clarify it to me, you tested it with CAPsMAN and CAP on RC or just CAPsMAN?

Re: SGI w/CapsMan

Have also seen this and posted a while back, anyway got no response. My scenarios are below, and in none of them clients connect with SGI (makes no difference to leave SGI unchecked or marked as "all" on the CAPsMAN configuration). CAPsMAN (6.36.4): RB2011UiAS-2HnD CAPs (6.36.4 or 6.37.3):...

Re: v6.38 [current] is released!

On RB750Gr3, where I have two PPPoE links to ISP, if I disable the secondary one, I can´t reenable it (tried through winbox, winbox "new terminal" and ssh). Log shows the initializing/connecting messages, but nothing else, and the interface won´t go up / get ip address. Log shows this entr...

Re: v6.38 [current] is released!

Just upgraded my shiny new HEX (RB750GR3) from v6.37.3 to latest stable v6.38. Unfortunately it did not come back. Instead it keeps beeping every 10sec. I am not using any fancy stuff just natting between an telco edge router and my internal network. A reset did not work. Will try a Netinstall in a...

Thanks for the quick response. I've certainly disabled and enabled the rules during the troubleshooting, but not sure if tested without altering anything else. Will do first thing on the afternoon and send the supout to support anyway, since I'm not the first with similar issues, maybe it's not some...

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

Anyone experiencing mangle problems on 6.38rc52? I'll elaborate: Problem started approximately one day after I replaced some configuration on a RB2011 to a hEX v3. Mangle is pretty simple, chain prerouting from a vlan with action mark routing. Today it stopped working and I can't seem to find the pr...

How do you access internet through the Mikrotik? If it´s throug NAT masquerade, make sure that your VPN IP range is being masqueraded too.

Re: mAP Lite Ethernet susceptible to interference!

One thing looks suspicious. Since approx. two to three weeks no online shop I could find has MAPlite on stock. But I remember they were available before this timeframe. So I assume they all sent back their MAPs to Mikrotik for inspection. Sounds possible, since mAP Lite have never been available he...

Re: RB2011UiAS CAPsMAN dont add internal wlan and virtual ap

Yes, but that way your router is left vulnerable (all input and forward traffic will be accepted). Probably only thing that was preventing CAPsMAN to work, was that traffic from itself was not allowed on firewall. Try adding the below rule to the top of /ip firewall filter and re-enable the rules yo...

Have you tried this:

Like it shows there, you can specify remote-address on /ppp secret, so that client always get the same IP.

it says it has dual LC, so couldn't I use a LC to SC patch lead to connect to both ports 23 & 24 and that should work?
If the wavelenght used by your provider is the 1310nm (both TX/RX), and you´re within the 10km transceiver range, then yes, it should.
