Re: Traffic Engineering RouterOS 7

Thank you for sharing the link. I was able to get TE working with version 6, but it seems like version 7 requires a different configuration method. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this and could offer some helpful tips.

Traffic Engineering RouterOS 7

Dear Experts, I am currently testing a portion of my network with version 7 due to the increasing prevalence of preinstalled routers with this software. However, I have encountered an issue with TE functionality. While I was able to create interfaces with TE in version 6 and successfully route traff...

Re: v7.4.1 [stable] is released!

I wanted to test Xvlan between 2 routers, I set up the first one and it was fine, while setting up the second one, the router went offline, and would just keep on rebooting, i disabled the IP it was connecting to and the router stabilised, logged in and disabled the XVLAN, and it was back online, lo...

Re: Switch high CPU VLAN

Hi Sindy,

Thank you for all the help, this seem to have solved my issue, the Switch is back to 2-4% and traffic is going upstream.

Thank you once again for your time. :)

Have a nice weekend.

Re: Switch high CPU VLAN

Hi Sindy, I just removed VLAN 40, as i wanted to keep it simple, vlan 40 goes direct to an ethernet port. Which would be easy to manage. 30 and 31, cause of design of the OLT, traffic from device the CPE, 30 and VLAN 31 is if the customer uses their own router. but all that goes to PPPoE. As there i...

Re: Switch high CPU VLAN

Hi Sindy, Apologies for not being clear, I have tried to attach a simple diag, I have 3 OLT, connected to the switch. The old OLT were just delivering traffic without VLAN. The new one has VLAN for each service. I had port isolation, so Ether 1 and 2 would only see Ether 3 and 4, and not each other....

Re: Switch high CPU VLAN

I just realised one thing,

/interface bridge vlan
add bridge=BR1 vlan-ids=30,31,35 tagged=sfp-sfpplus1,ether1,ether2,ether3
add bridge=BR1 vlan-ids=40 tagged=sfp-sfpplus1,ether4

will ether 1 be able to talk to vlan 30? or it will come as vlan 30 on ether 1, 2 and 3?

Thank you Sindy,

Should I also remove port isolation, in the switch. As when I was using Horizon, switch CPU was sky high! but after the VLAN it does not work well.

Re: Switch high CPU VLAN

Thank you, yes the CSR is kind of already coming to its knees with just 200mb of traffic. I would have actually used port isolation if it was port, but this being VLAN i cannot use that. I want to test the VLAN under bridge, is there any example related to what I want, I tried looking but nothing si...

Hello, Apologies if this has been asked before, I tried to search but could not find something similar, I am using CRS326-24G-2S+, using a switch chip to isolate the ports, but since I added some vlan to 10G port, the CPU has gone high. Is there a way I can pass traffic via switch and not CPU. 10G p...

Re: queue Trees

Thank you, looking at this example, https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Q ... Q_Examples which distributes equal bandwidth, what I want is to allocate total Bandwidth like 5mb and that subnet or group should not exceed the 5mb, I don't want to do equal distribution. How can I do that.

CRS326-24G-2S+ high CPU

Hello,

I just noticed a few of my switches are running at 60-70% CPU, there is nothing much apart from the IGMP Snooping, could this be the cause? The ports are all on Hardware. Traffic is around 300-400Mbps.

Thank you.
