Re: NetMETAL 5 & Metal 9HPn Questions.

RBMetal-9HPn - Is what we are chasing more of. Generally we purchase 99% exclusively abroad. USA where possible but sometimes in .EU. This is due to the extremely over inflated prices in .AU. For example your link lists @ AU$200ea where as our last batch came in at ~AU$120ea. As for the 900Mhz band...

Re: NetMETAL 5 & Metal 9HPn Questions.

@Meverest Yes, fully aware of the LIPD reg's. We have also done some fun stuff in the past with Packet Radio on 27Mhz via the LIPD rules using modified CB's. The devices are set and locked down accordingly not just for EIRP but also emission width. It's a shame we are unable to buy more of these. We...

How to load share a point to point link across several devices?

Hi, I'd like to set up a point to point link using 3x different devices each end. RB-Metal 9HPn RB-Metal 5SHPn RB-Metal 2SHPn I would like to load share the connection over all three devices without getting any sort of LAN feedback loops or IP Storms etc. Using a "RB260GSP" at each end of the link c...

OK. Back again guys! These things are getting hard to find now but I did manage to purchase one more recently and have been playing again. So today's question is. ... What is a simple way to set the client end so that the LED's show Signal Strength ? I haven't been able to find this so far. .-.-.

Re: RBMetal9HPn - First time Settup. Please Help me Comnfig

Thanks Normis. Latest update shows the frequencies against the Australian country code. While your at it there is another mistake. On the 900Mhz devices the "Band" is always shown as 2Ghz. For example 2GHz-B/G/N Perhaps you could change this to 900-B/G/N or 900MHz-B/G/N Which ever will fit in the fi...

Re: RB260GSP ready for prime time?

Well our last unit that we have left set up for testing and upgrades in the hope the problem will be solved so we can re-implement the model back into our networks has failed again today.

Once again a software reset brings the devices online again. Of course sooner or later it will fail again.

Re: RB260GSP ready for prime time?

Sure the device doesn't work as it should. No doubt. On the other side you cannot use such features as safety features. Never. If you mean honestly what you wrote than you have already implemented real safety tools that definitely block radiation from antennas by visible manner. For example metal d...

They could also sue the sun, because it irradiates them with 1 kW/square meter. Which is maybe 1000 times more then that AP exposing them to maybe 1W/sq.m at lower, less energetic wavelengths. This is an technical issue, but to escalate this to a health hazard is a little far fetched. A microwave o...

OK So again today. Another device does the same thing POE is set to Off but port one is powered! :(

So set both 1 & 2 to Auto and apply. Then port 2 says Low Current bug again!.

Finally both back on after soft reset.

This device has big problems even with current firmware! :(

OK I've just checked the device again and now find something even more disturbing. OK Just came home today to the exact same problem again. So the issue has *not* been resolved with the latest firmware I'm sad to say. :( Both devices on ports 2 & 3 were not functioning.
