I have an issue with 7.13 that 7.12.1 didn't have (nor before) - I have a bunch of 1gb SFP's in a CRS328-4C-20S-4S+ switch. None of them will link up auto negotiation at full duplex (they are all fiber). I can hard code both sides of a link and it works full duplex, but with auto negotiation duplex...
Hi, i am trying to setup an OpenVPN server in TAP mode with site to site setup with the same subnet on both sites / ethernet mode. I managed to get it running in TUN mode, but TAP mode is not working somehow. I can ping from each site, but normal traffic from client is not working. I guess i am miss...
Access list? I think you meant connect list... Yeah i defined some networks in the connect list, but i included also a fallback script, that is autorun at boot: if no network is found that the map can connect to, the physical wlan is set to ap-bridge. So in every case you can connect to a running wl...
What about it ? It wasn't working :) But now i know how to configure it properly: The physical wlan has to be set to station-pseudobridge and the virtual wlan to ap-bridge or bridge. The map is ready for this week, there were some minor things that i must change someday or which are not working as ...
yes, thank you, i already set this 2 modes and they are working. only for the mybridge wlan i have no clue how to solve this... i set the physical wlan1 to station mode and the virtual wlans ap-mode. do i have to do it the opposite way? set physical wlan1 to ap-mode and virtual wlan2 for example to ...
Thanks to the wonderful information on the forum i started doing my own config. Because i need the router next week, i did a quick and dirty solution with different bridges, there are probably more elegant ways to solve this (vlans?). Here is the config so far: /interface bridge add admin-mac=xx:xx:...
I want to use it as travel router similar to the setup Lorenzo used in the presentation. For example connect it to a hotel wifi or lan on port 1 providing the internet connection. Then have different virtual aps running, where i connect my own devices or connect them via lan port 2. As in the presen...
Hi, i saw a while ago the presentation "mAP & mAP lite: The Wireless Swiss Knife Always in Your Pocket" from Lorenzo Busatti on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeZetH9uX_Y https://mum.mikrotik.com/presentations/US16/presentation_3371_1462179397.pdf I just ordered the map, does...
Hi, i was experiencing some high temperature problems with SFP+ RJ 45 Modules in my CRS326-24G-2S+RM. Even with only one module temperature was going to 95 °C, CPU was 70 °C which is/was ok i guess. After reading the forum i also did a very simple fan mod. Now the SFP+ modules were about 65 °C and C...
One more thing, if i replace the CRS125 by CRS328-24P-4S+RM to handle the vlan and routing stuff, would it last for wirespeed or
would i have to set the CRS328 as switch and let a bigger router handle the routing?
I already read a bit about the vlan stuff in the links you posted... So i cannot simply add a vlan interface with vlan tag 20 for example on the virtual guest wlan interface and set the guest wlan interface with VLAN Mode: use tag / VLAN ID: 20. The following i am not sure what would be the right wa...
Thanks for the information, will first read all that stuff...
I just want to vlan the guest network (internet access only) in the first step, my old crs125 should handle that.
Maybe later when things are growing i will replace the crs with another device...
Hi everybody, i am trying to setup up a VLAN isolated guest network with internet only access. The red home network in the diagram is already created but i am competely new to VLAN. Could anyone point me in the right direction or have a tutorial with a similar setup i can follow? Thanks in advance, ...
Just tested a metarouter openwrt image on my system. Eating way too much cpu, maybe that is possible on a ccr or so, but no go on smaler mikrotik devices...
Any news on this, i need to push routes to clients from the server, never tried metarouter. BUT i like to have this out of the box with mikrotik. If you need to have full openvpn support, the solution cannot be to have a metarouter running for that...
Hi, i need some help with mikrotik scripting. I want to telnet to a modem (i can unfortunately not use ssh, because it is not supported) and run a command there and use the output to fill some variables to set download/upload rates in simple queues. On linux i tried the following, which is working: ...
Downgrade to 6.27 and its gone, there are several posts in the forum with the same problem. I guess its not already identified what is causing the problems under 6.28...
i can confirm the sector write problem. after some monitoring i found out, that the problem probably might be that i have dynamically created address lists in firewall, which is causing this issue for me. i have alot of other services running like dhcp dns ntp but i haven't had time to check them al...
Hi! I want to define a firewall rule with "In. interface" ovpn. Is there something like a wildcard i can use for all openvpn users like <ovpn-*> which i could define in the firewall? I tested with <ovpn-username> but after the openvpn session is closed the firewall rule is getting invalid ...
@strods: I think my problem directly after the update is related to the new romon feature maybe somehow: 10.10.10.1_cpu-day.png See the two peaks in CPU Usage right after the update, nothing was changed in the config. Then i read about the new romon feature, activated it and deactivated it again and...
@crs125: And again after reboot (the update to 6.28, done just before) after a few hours cpu is magically going high from 2% to 75-100% for hours and hours, loosing packets and have to reboot. Nice job with the update
Rolling back...
After Upgrading my CRS125 and the automatic reboot i also had 75 - 100% CPU, another rebooted helped to solve this problem, no clue what was causing this, i was rebooting the router because i was loosing packets all over the network and after i could check again the monitoring system i saw the high ...
Hi, i just configured an openvpn server on mikrotik for testing and i set up a very basic firewall. The setup is the following: @CRS125 the port 24 is set up with no master port. On that port is a external modem for the internet connection which is done via pppoe. The openvpn server is listening on ...
i have an CRS 125, via the supplied USB OTG Cable i can attach an USB Stick and Format it as disk.
I can see the disk in File Manager after formatting.
Is there any was to store Graphing on the formatted USB Stick instead in RAM?
