The only time I needed a backup was when a device was broken. That does not work in the case?
I am currently using a script for the backup.

Mikrotik router hacked?

I have about 20+ Mikrotik routers in use. For almost all (but not all) all firewall DROP rules are disabled! have only noticed it now because a provider has turned off an Internet connection (DNS Server). Nothing was changed, no passwords changed or user created. The devices have different Internet ...

Re: Winbox: "Could not save configuration" error message

Although an old post but I currently have the same problem.
Solution:
Delete this folder (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Mikrotik\), will be recreated when opening WinBox. If necessary, BACKUP folder before!

I saw the notice in another post, so it is an improvement there (not much time to test).

I tried all the settings. Also following the list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels
Always when I set 80MHz, stands unsupportet configuraton (Country: switzerland with CAPsMAN). So I ask for the configuration to see what I do wrong? ;-)

Re: RouterBoard hAP AC Slow wireless performance.

The default config for the wireless should be pretty good. The only thing I changed on my hAP AC is locking the channel on 100 and enabling WMM. I get a consistent 1300mbps link, and smooth 350~375mbps throughput. Can you show me your exact configuration? I reach max 80~110mbps throughput over wire...

Sorry for lack of response, I forgot I wrote this :-)
The unit was broken, after replacing all problems disappeared. Works like a charm, speedtest.net shows around 280 Mbps download over 802.11ac. I'm pretty okay with that for now :-)

upstream from ISP is 20mb/s, thats OK.
