Locked out....please help!

I have a hAP Lite router and I somehow locked myself out. If I use winbox it can find the MAC address when I click on the MAC address and click connect is says: "could not get index: missing file! When I select the IP it tries to connect but then times out and says: could not connect to 192.168.1.1 ...

This is the first part I'm unsure about how to do correctly: "r1 set as station bridge and bridge ethernets with wifi. Scan for Ap and connect"

Even it is not smart to use omni antenna as static client normally, the approach would be: r1 set as station bridge and bridge ethernets with wifi. Scan for Ap and connect. R2 to set like home Ap and use the wan port to join with one of ports of r1. Take care to use non overlapping network address ...

If my wireless ISP connection has an authentication page that you must sign into before they will give you connection to the Internet how do I authenticate myself when using the Mikrotik router? Does this make sense what I'm asking? For example: when I connect to the free wifi from my ISP on my iPho...

I'm looking for a router that can use the wireless card as the WAN port and use that signal to provide Internet to my devices that are hard wired and also broadcast wireless to local devices. I hope I'm explaining this correctly. There is a ISP broadcasting free wifi and I would like to receive that...

Router vs switch

I have been looking at routerboard.com at "routers" and "switches." What is the difference, advantage or disadvantage with the two. From what I understand you can use the CRS series as a router. Why would you want to use a RB2011 series over a CRS series. Thanks, just trying to make sense of the dif...

Trouble connecting to router over PPTP

Hoping someone can help me. I'm fairly new to using Mikrotik. I have a RB750GL at my home and I have another client of mine using a CRS109-8G-1S-2HnD-IN. I'm using this as a router on quick set as a "home AP". I upgraded the software to 6.20 and checked the quick VPN option. All is good at this site...

Re: Setting up PPTP on RB750GL

Do you have to set up a PPTP client and a PPTP sever to make this work?

Or do you just need to set a PPTP client to make this work?

Thanks

I don't see the option anywh...
