Re: 6.31 released

After upgrading our 751G-2HnD to 6.31 it locks up after running for some time. The unit can be pinged but other than, the unit cannot be accessed and does not pass traffic, requiring a system reboot. We have a 951G-2HnD and CRS112-8G-4S that do not appear to be affected, though their load is a bit l...

Re: Dual DHCP WAN interface setup

ZeroByte: Actually I meant the static route to 8.8.6.6 (or 8.8.8.8 ) via the ether1 interface. Make a static route 8.8.6.6/32 gateway=ether1 (use the interface name, not any IP address) Configure this route with check-gateway=ping The relevant config item is: 5 A S dst-address=8.8.6.6/32 gateway=eth...

Re: Dual DHCP WAN interface setup

I tried the settings above and it does fail over to the WAN2 interface ether2. My relevant route table is as follows: 2 A S dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=8.8.6.6 gateway-status=8.8.6.6 recursive via [wan2 gw] ether2-WAN2 distance=1 scope=30 target-scope=30 3 DS dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=[wan2 gw...

Dual DHCP WAN interface setup

We have a router with two WAN interface to different ISPs that use DHCP. We are unable to ping out the backup interface while the primary is up. The primary interface has a distance of 1, the backup a distance of two (configured under dhcp-client). The only address we can ping is the backup carrier ...

Low Power devices get disconnected. (log: disconnected, extensive data loss).

We are running two Mikrotik routers (951 and 751) connected via an ethernet trunk. Each radio has its channel fixed and separated. 3 Virtual APs on each system provide 3 SSIDs, each tied to a different VLAN. The problem we are seeing is with regards to low power devices getting kicked off the wirele...

Wireless authentication using local database

Does anybody know if I can use the local user database to authenticate WPA-EAP or WPA2-EAP clients? I am not using a RADIUS server or User Manager.

WPA EAP using local user database

Can I use the local user database to authenticate wireless users using WPA EAP (and WPA2 EAP)? If so, can somebody point me to a configuration example? I am sure it is possible and the answer is right under my nose, but I have not been able to get it to work and can't find a document that explains i...
