well, I was pretty upset when I wrote the topic, this still doesn't answer why the session does not get removed in winbox gui, but in the terminal I can see that it has been removed. I Upgraded the CCR1009 to 7.8 before exporting it, so I have no 6.x export.

I did not import from 6.x to 7.x

I upgraded ros 6 to ros 7 on the old router, then I exported the ROS 7 config
got new router, upgraded package to match, then imported the config via the terminal window.

Im not sure I understand the provisioning of the wired clients, wouldn't that just be DHCP. In my network, all cAP clients(wlan and ethers) are configured in a bridge, so the main cAP server conrols the wireless, but also gives out IPs to all devices in the network.

I just tried with GRE6 and had the same problems. some sites work, others don't. wpcentral.com never works and wellsfargo.com seems to work 1/2 the time.. very strange.
Of course if I switch back to total IPv4 routing , everything works perfect..

are you saying to increase the MTU on my computers Ethernet? I don't this that is a good solution as I cant expect all my clients to understand how to do that. The IPIPV6 Tunnel has a field for MTU and its default is set at 1460, I will set it to 1520 and see if that helps.

the customer was complaining of webex and ftp dropping.

I can telnet in via MAC address or IP address, but only from inside the AP, as they are all behind the hotspot.

Atheros CPEs are fine, this problem occurs when you have lots of prism clients, and an atheros AP. So if you are all atheros, or at least most atheros, you should have no problem.

8602 still has an Atheros chipset. The older 2511 has a prisim chipset.

I have tried many different timing strategies, from as fast as a can to letting sit for 1 hour.. no change, it appears that it works withing the first 20 seconds or so after enabling, and after that if the people arnt on, they will not get on again, unless you disable the radio.

I talked with someone at ubiquiti today and he thinks the problem has something to do with noise.
the noise floor on my nodes averages around -105, which is pretty good. If a -105 is considered noisy, then we have a major problem, or is it a wrong reading ?

I thought input packets we one destined for the router itself, and forward packets are the one that go through the router.

So in this case, changeing the chain from forward to input would make the rule hit nothing

you hould not be forwarding packets on a hotspot style AP. This is broadcast traffic. Unless you want to have users see each other in the network neighborhood, you should not forward packets.

I get great bandwidth. I can pull 15 megs TCP, there is no noticable problem other that I see the CPU running high.

I have set the power to default, and then I change it to all-fixed-rates.. ALso the power meter works in 5.8 , 5.3, and 2.4. I always change the frequency to 5785 before I start the test.

answer to my own question... I had my own internal routing issues with the mk - mk pptpt link, but at the clients house I found this to be the problem.

it was the firmware in the cleints netgear router. After that upgrade, it worked perfectly.

well now we know why the Atheros shows no noise. I have a feeling the Mikrotik doesnt really care to much about Prism and therefore insnt going to take much time in developing a noise setting that only works on those cards.. it would be a GREAT feature that would probably help out alot.

It is a properly configured website. When I looked at torch without the rule on, I noticed the since I am using a hotspot that I have a transparent http proxy and all http trafffic goes throught the hotpsot proxy address, I think I need to apply my rule after the proxy?
