Re: hAP ac2 - port knocking doesn't work (kind of)

I don't see the forth rule, for accepting connections by the hosts, located in the "trusted" list. Do you get the three lists in the Address lists tab when you try to knock on the ports? EDIT: Nevermind, found the cause. This is what happens, when you try to use one and the same port in bo...

Re: hAP ac2 - port knocking doesn't work (kind of)

try to sleep a second between knocks
As I said above, tried that already with delays between 1 and 3 seconds. No effect.

hAP ac2 - port knocking doesn't work (kind of)

Hi! Purchased hAP ac2 yesterday and started to transfer all my settings from my old RB951G-2HnD. Now it's running the latest RouterOS 6.43.8 and all seems to work like before, all, except the port knocking. I'm using the following rules: add action=add-src-to-address-list address-list=knock1 address...

Re: Winbox3.0 released!

Minor bug spotted. Winbox 3.0 shows this in the log:
User admin logged in from FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF via winbox
Also the same MAC for logout too. Version 2.x shows that MAC correctly. Tested on Windows 10 and OS X.

Re: v6.24 RC

6.24 on RB951G-2HnD. The NTP client, set to unicast mode, doesn't work (again). Wasn't working in 6.22 and 6.23 too.

Re: [Feature request] Real ssh passwordless login

Well, that's exactly the problem: the normal SSH service/server behavior in such case (disabled password authentication) is to drop the connection immediately, not to prompt for a password . As I said, look at the manual, mentioned in my previous post and especially the example. I have no idea what'...

Re: [Feature request] Real ssh passwordless login

current options are: use password use key-pair use both default is use password - when you set account password in RouterOS you can use that password to log in using that user via any of the services (API, winbox, webfig, telnet, SSH) use key-pair - only available for ssh login, when key is set for...

Re: [Feature request] Real ssh passwordless login

Strange, in my last tests several weeks ago I experienced exactly what you wished and was worried about not being able to login with private key and with password at the same time. [Feature request] Real ssh passwordless login

Currently, when a public key has been added to any user, the remote client should pass the private key to the SSH service in RouterOS, but if it doesn't, the service still asks for the user's password (regardless that it doesn't accept it after all). In my opinion, that behavior should be changed: w...

Re: Passwordless ssh login

upload public part of key, import it for particular user you are going to use it with '/user ssh-keys' when logging in, point your ssh client to the private key, or place it in default location where client can find it. Yeah, I'm fully aware how the public/private key handshake works, but that's no...

Re: Passwordless ssh login

Sorry to revive the thread, but on my RB951G-2HnD with RouterOS 6.20 I've still got the password prompt even after I've installed the SSH keys. What am I doing wrong?
