Re: RB4011 and RB1100 AHx4 "bricks" randomly

Mikrotik - any word on how to resolve this? I have an RB4011 which needs a hard reboot every two months due to loss of management (and a few other functions, but flow seems ok) for the reasons described here. It's doing: BGP with BFD PPPoE Client VRRP L2TP/IPSEC There's no NTP and SNMP is disabled. ...

Re: v6.46.5 [stable] is released!

I have a new RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD which has given me about 4 days, 17 hours of rock solid performance and uptime, then this morning, I had it generate an autosupout.rif file but did not reboot. I have no clear indication as to what triggered it (nothing in the logs), however there were DNAT rules whi...

Re: RB4011iGS+ 802.1Q VLANs

This device is expressly created for the purpose of using the CPU and vlans. You should configure it that way. This is not entirely clear from the documentation, however after configuring it this way, the performance is pretty impressive. I can live with that as I have saved a lot of pain with the ...

RB4011iGS+ 802.1Q VLANs

Hi All, I'm aware that the Realtek RTL8367 switch chip in the RB4011iGS+ is a little limited, however I have the following scenario: ether2: Tagged 10,20,30 and Untagged 1 ether3: Tagged 10,20,30 and Untagged 1 Inter-VLAN routing is to be performed on the RB4011iGS+ itself, however there is also lik...

Re: Support for ACME/Let's Encrypt certificate management [SOLVED]

After trying the script at https://www.ollegustafsson.com/en/letsencrypt-routeros/ for updating an SSTP certificate, I decided to write one that only relies on a BASH script: https://gist.github.com/JonathanThorpe/77e11706a8f1a3de79c2ce5162dafe43 You'll need the following: 1. Create a DSA SSH Key so...

6.38.1 pppoe link up/down time wrong

Hi All, Has anyone else noticed anything like this? On a MikroTik hAP running 6.38.1, I noticed that its web user interface shows the link up/down times incorrectly: Last Link Down Time Sep/04/2059 12:37:57 Last Link Up Time Sep/04/2059 12:37:58 Link Downs 33 Uptime 00:24:19 Whereas, times from the ...

Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

Interesting reply from Proscend. We have not tested the interoperability with Mikrotik/Ubiquiti Edge routers. The basic requirements/configurations of SFP interface on the Host Device include Serdes(Not SGMII), 1G Forced Mode(Not Auto-Negotiation Mode) and power requirements(3.3V, 700mA). We request...

ADSL/VDSL SFP with MikroTik

Hi All, I understand MikroTik don't have plans to incorporate an xDSL module into their products, however the reality is that ADSL and VDSL2 (FTTB/FTTN) is commonly found here in Australia. The MikroTik make the perfect CPE in many cases, but having another device attached to it makes it a less than...

Re: CRS226-24G-2S+ Poor routing performance

I'm looking at buying a CRS226-24G-2S+ since it has two 10Gbps SFP+, however I came across this read while doing research which has me a bit worried about L3 performance. I'm hoping to connect this to a VDSL2 service that provides 100Mbps down / 40Mbps up with the following features ideally handled ...
