Thanks pe1chl I've tested a single GRE over IPSEC with OSPF. Seems to do the job however very slow, CPU maxes out at 20-30Mbps with the board i was using. Hi All

I have a requirement to setup a hotspot for public use, it will need to forward all web traffic to an existing upstream proxy that does content filtering.

I'm familiar with how to setup the hotspot, but whats the best way to forward the traffic to the upstream proxy?

I've upgraded to ROS 4.1, done a config reset and same result, cant get more then 25 - 30mbit. I also tried another notebook.

Is anyone else running a similar setup? if so what speeds do you get?

I have another R52N on the way for another job, i will test it before it goes out...

Try to do a multiple connections using some download accelerator. Check the CPU usage on the router when you are doing the transmit. I also have an R52N and two notebooks one with a Intel Wifi Link 4965AGN the other with an Intel Wifi Link 5300 AGN. Neither can connect to the access point when running in any of the 802.11N modes.

Thanks, currently i only have 18v 600mA over 20m of POE cable, is this under powering the RB333? I'm leaning towards the XR2 as its 600mW... i would like the extra power but ive used some 400mW Seano NMP-8602's in the past and found them to just kill everything else around them on all 2.4Ghz channel...

I'm still experiencing this issue on a couple of my links. The wireless cards that appear to be interfering with each other on the same board are Senao NMP-8602. After doing some research, people say the Senao cards are rubbish, has anyone else seen this kind of issue with the Senao NMP-8602? Thanks.

I now have them running on two separate boards, problem appears to have gone away.

The RB333 also has a 5Ghz Radio as well as the 2x 2.4Ghz Radio's, would it help if the 5Ghz card was between the two 2.4Ghz cards?

What else would cause this issue?

Ah - that was not really clear from your post.
What kind of wireless gear is between the boxes? Is this a routed or bridged wireless connection?

There are no wireless cards in the boxes, they are wireless accesspoints connected via ethernet, you could say its just like having them networked via a cat5 cable.
