Re: hAP AC2+cAP AC Roaming is a joke

RouterOS 7 uses Linux Kernel 4.14.131. Doesn´t this one provide e.g. native 802.11r/k support with IPQ4018/IPQ4019 based chipsets? So, the problem wit hAP ac2 + cAP ac could be automatically be resolved...?

2. RBcAPGi-5acD2nD
3. I had a working cAP ac with version 6.45.5 with capsman mode enabled. I upraded to v7 beta1. The cAP ac wasn´t able to connect to the CAPSMAN controller which is running 6.45.5 afterwards and told me about timeouts.

Re: v6.40.3 [current]

WMM is always on if you enable N/AC wireless modes. - On a CAPSMAN enabled WAP AC: /interface wireless print advanced gives: "wmm-support=diabled" - When I disable CAPSMAN for wlan0 and wlan1 interfaces on the access point and do: /interface wireless set 1 wmm-support=enabled set 0 wmm-support=enab...

Re: v6.40.3 [current]

Looking at the wireless interfaces of my CAPSMAN enabled "WAP AC" devices: "WMM Enabled" is not enabled? Reason for asking: I have users complaining about bad battery time when they are connected to our Mikrotik access points, e.g. After 1/2 day the battery on an Galaxy S6 is down when he´s conncete...

Re: v6.41rc [release candidate] is released! New bridge implementation!

There is bug that after the downgrade from the newest RC you need to do a soft reboot of the board as the dhcp-client doesn't start in the first boot. Powercycle will not help, you need to do a sift reboot. Well, it doesn't matter what older version I used. I downgraded and then "telnet-mac" into t...

Re: v6.41rc [release candidate] is released! New bridge implementation!

DANGER If you are running CAPSMAN avoid 6.41rc23 6.41rc23 breaks CAP communication with CAPSMAN, at least when using a tunelled datapath. Downgrading to 6.41rc20 does not fix the problem :( Mikrotik support are aware of this issue. Too late. My users complain that they are connected to the wifi, bu...

Re: CHR suggestions for new functionality

Well, I´d like to use a CHR as Intrusion Prevention System to be placed at VMware´s vswitch, just like VMware´s NSX plus with IPS capabilities.

Re: SwOS MTU

Is it me or do we miss MTU Settings?
You´re looking for an option to allow "jumbo frames", i.e. set a higher value for MTU?

Re: wAP ac 2.4ghz channel issues

2.4Ghz is working normally. If the air ist full with other access points, sending at the same frequency, then you will have problems. In a crowded environment you should use 20Mhz channels only. Also set the channel on your own. Temperature on my WAP AC devices is about 67°C, that's normal for a WAP...

Re: CRS317-1G-16S+RM MPLS Support

It is for this device. The CPU has features that allow it. I can't say more at the moment. That's the ASIC I guess: Marvell Prestera 98DX8216 https://www.marvell.com/switching/prestera-dx/ "Support for the newest Tag formats (VXLAN, NVGRE, Geneve) and congestion management capabilities (PFC, ETS)" ...

Re: v6.40rc [release candidate] is released! (New bridge implementation delayed till 6.41rc)

I´m standing directly in front of the WAP AC and got disconnect with group key timeout on 5Ghz while downloading files (Sony Z1 Compact with Android 5.1) RouterOS release is 6.40.rc41
I updated to routerboard firmware: 3.39 before I saw this behavior. How can I downgrade routerboard firmware?

Re: v6.40rc [release candidate] is released! (New bridge implementation)

After upgrading from 6.40rc38 to 6.40rc41 I do not see any 5Ghz client being connected on many of my WAP AC devices. Normally I get a ratio of 60:40 for 2.4Ghz:5Ghz.
