Dynamic QOS PPPOE, Queue Type

I'm wondering we're using a box for PPPoE using the Mikrotik-Rate-Limit for setting up the dynamic queue automatically per user, we have the queue being setup still as pfifo with 1000 buffer on CCR1036 It works fine people get limited, but we are starting to think that it might be the source of some...

BGP CPU and SNMP impact

We have BGP on a 1072 with 2 providers, 1 full routing table and 1 that just ~30 routes... then we static route internally.  What we've noticed is that our SNMP monitoring of the vlan facing the provider seems to have some major issues like its timing out or something  when we monitor it. Whats even...

SNMP Monitoring constant timeouts?

we have a 1072 and we are recieving bgp tables from it not sure if that has to do with it or not, but when we monitor the oid for snmp with snmp traffic grapher, we get a red timeout line every ~60 seconds or so i've tried extending the snmp timeout to 5000ms and still it times out and gives red lin...

For 2 CCR's as edge routers, running BGP on the Internet side, and VRRP on the inside, what would be the best way to set this up for redundancy, anyone know of any examples?

And i hit my first roadblock, the lease script isn't re-running when the lease is renewed? I see it get updated values from radius, the dhcp gets sent to the client, but the script doesn't run again?!?!?!?!

Re: Simple to PCQ by address list name?

Well im getting closer, radius is returning Mikrotik-Access-List = Opt82Agent-Opt82Circuit=UlKbps This builds up the circuits properly, but i'll need to have a lot of checks, like when dhcp expires a lease to remove the pcq/mangle rules IF the addresslist is empty, does dhcp lease script, run when l...

Simple to PCQ by address list name?

Ok basically i've run into a problem with my planning to use MT as a BNG. Plan was DHCP sends Opt-82 and Mac to radius, radius authenticate the opt-82 is an enabled customer sends back IP+Speeds for Simple queues for client. This works fine, except for the fact if customer plugs in a switch to his D...

Queues from Radius, But by Option-82?

Is their a way to group Queues based on Option-82 value? Basically my issue is if i TAL authenticate a customer on their Option-82 thats great, they will get DHCP, pass the RB-Mikrotik-Uplink/Downlink for queue, it works. and gives them their speed queue... However, say if their are 2-3 customers on...

stupid question whats the routing speed on the CRS, last i recall it's a switch with a pretty crappy CPU and not meant for routing in the least, or thats what someone told me previously, it's made to be used as a switch that happens to have ROS on it... Should really be using a CCR or RB unit for ro...

we're using dhcp set to use radius, radius returns the IP and the MAX-DL / MAX-UL queues, and Mikrotik generates the queues perfectly.... Whats the point of a beta if you don't release it, beta's are meant to be unstable. Release the beta, and start getting broad input early.

Not like they're asking when v7 Final or even RC will be out but beta, for all we know there cud be 900 beta releases before rc1

i actually had seen mention of that, also saw discussion of moving to PCQ, but PCQ would require major changes (profiles on each CCR, and instead of sending speeds from radius would have to modify the way our OSS is sending data which was a pretty big no no for me.
