I re-installed and setup router again problem seems to have resolved that way. But not ideal as I defaulted the router.

So was def somthing in the setup.

I would try remove all logs etc to free up space...suspect its somthing to do with space available.

Provider needs my original working vlan with ID246 tagged, but when tagging is enable it's not functioning.

I have setup targets, but am unsure what port to use so left it at default on mikrotik.

IP acounting has the info, but not very readable, and I would like to be able to make a print out should a client query their usage, so this would not work.

BOOTED! YAY!

Problem was power supply was using a 12v 2A PSU, but the 435 doesn't seem to like it.

Booted with POE 24v 1A and it booted fine.

Did that, no change, I then replaced all radio's at that site: 4 of em

I don't know how 4 of them go at once, it was quite hot, but within limits for the radios operating temperatures.

It seems to have stabalised now

I didn't quite get a suggestion.

I have not resolved the problem, however I don't need to any more, as I don't generate prepaid units anymore, I create using unlimited profile, with the 30m uptime limit, then the system works, and disconnects on time.

I already use Mikrotik WDS setup to repeat, but was looking into a generic repeater that would not require configuration at all, repeat any signal in the area, it seems that having this would be a performance problem so guess it's out.

It would apply to any frequency where the antenna is not DC grounded.

Test using multimeter check continuity between the outer part of the connector with the inner part, and if you hear the continuous beep from multimeter, then you have DC grounded antenna.

In short yes, a radius server would be your best bet.

Mikrotik has builtin radius server (user manager)

This can be used to set download limits as well as rate limits.

I have the old router setup so I can match the settings, both, are setup exactly the same, yet new RB600 has radius timeout.

I can get it to work for pppoe, by removing hotspot, and ip addresses associated to the hotspot interfaces, then radius responds again.

As I said, it was a working system with ROS3.30 no changes were made to the system (uptime: 300+ days)

Can't do a re-install Ether1 does not work from some reason. It's basically been bricked

Runs on UPS so power is not the reason and no weather when the problem occurred.

I don't think you understand what I mean,

Does mikrotik hotspot web server, support SSI, if it does it should be able fetch content from another web server and display on it's own page as if it were locally hosted.

Hi, we were having the same issue, what we did was change from using 802.11b/g to only using 802.11b, which solved the issue. We still have the clients display as 11/1 mbits, but thier link is stable, and throughput goes up to 6-7mbits. where prior to the change throughput was down to 64kbits Anyway...

there is nothing in the logs that indicate there is anything wrong. Except when the customer disconnects from pppoe session. but that is only appearing when customer disconnects and reconnects to get pages to display again.

If both port forwarding and VPN to RB532 is not working maybe the problem lies with your DSL router.

As it is fairly easy to setup to log in with port farwarding.

So I would try another DSL router see if you still have the same problem.

The only static queue that we have is one that is on the backbone connection, not to limit traffic but to monitor traffic, so that we know how much traffic we are using per month.

I suppose that we can remove that, I will have a look see if that helps.

Level 4 was previous licence

It did not change anything, but seemed to disable all routes. Not physically disable, they just did not work. After removing the routes, and seting up routes again all was fine.

The upgrate was from level 4 to level 6. in MT2.9.42

Hi The isp says they do not block any ports from thier side, so then I would need to unblock on our linkstar router. Still not working

Just to mention our back bone is run from Vsat, and we have been issued a Dynamic Public IP. It does not change often but does change. Our Setup INTERNET--->ISP--->SAT--->VSAT ROUTER--->MIKROTIK ROS--->WEBSERVER mikrotik ros ether1 ip is 10.77.204.193 and the web server is 192.168.3.5

OK will do

I have tried some of the ports that you mentioned, I am able to download on P2P but not at the rate my normal downloads, even when there is many seeds. I have checked to see if the diffirent ports make a diffirence, but my computer can't keep a connection with the trackers, thus slowing the download...
