Re: BGP multithreaded

Thanks for the info. Might give it a try. I think I can do 2 full feeds and only partial for the other peer. It'd be great if I knew that within a year it would be multithreaded.. it's been talked about for years now it looks like. Ok done whining. haha

Re: CCR1072-1G-8S+ BGP Locking Up

Are you over clocking? Have you tried 6.41 yet?

Send the support file to mikrotik support yet? Anything back?

BGP multithreaded

I know this has been hyped for v7 but I think adding this to 6.x should be key. I was looking at some ccr1072s for a new deployment but there are 3 upstream providers with full IPv4 and 6 feeds from each. I have some concerns about performance if I deploy with them. I have solutions for DDoS weaknes...

Re: TCP SYN Flood attack causing high cpu

I've seen this same thing on x86 RouterOS (although it did handle more traffic than your CCR). I believe this is Linux kernel related. No reason the router should blow up but it does. I didn't have specific RAW rules in place so maybe in my case with more CPU available I'll get it to a reasonable po...

Re: mikrotik v7 add support for 64 bit for KVM need more mem

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't compiling the routeros kernel for PAE be a simple task to support 4GB+ or would that break old x86 hardware? Also, why only 2GB in the current version, isnt the theoretical limit more like 3GB for x86 32-bit?

Re: v6.24 RC

So.. sorry if this is the wrong place for a "feature" request. ...but isn't it as easy as compiling the x86 linux kernel with PAE support in order to allow 4GB+ RAM? Or would that break old x86 hardware? I've compiled for PAE before and it was simple and apps just worked. Seems like a trivial improv...
