Then on my main router i disable firewall rule for input icmp drop, and everything is working fine. After that you can enable the drop rule, and tunnel is still working. But f...

Re: Wifi equipment for 70m distance behind windows

If we set aside problem with powering (wireless powering wasn't seriously developed ever since Tesla failed to extort more money from J.P.Morgan), a wAP ac would make a good wireless hop. As both hops (2.4 and 5GHz) would essentially be point-to-point, I'd configure them as nstreme bridges. Powerin...

Re: Wifi equipment for 70m distance behind windows

If the reason for avoiding LAN cables is fear for interference from power lines to UTP cables or fear for some power surges, then you could use fibre connection between the "main wireless hop" (building-2-building) and their hAP ac2 ... dumb media converters supporting multi-mode fibre an...

So if i wanna avoid lan cables, i suppose i could use 2wifi card hardware (or some other equipment combination) to connect my network, and on the other side her hap ac2. I need hardwar...

Re: Wifi equipment for 70m distance behind windows

We have a 60m wireless wire link here with one end in a window, and the other outside which works fine.

However it may not work depending on the type of glass.

Re: Wifi equipment for 70m distance behind windows

I would look at their 60G product line. This would be the lowest cost option and it can be a window to window solution however, they do provide the following caution: "This device penetrates some windows depending on material." https://mikrotik.com/product/wap_60g They come as a pre-setup...
