Re: RouterOS KVM with CentOS7 - getting error x86-64 only detects i686

Thanks a lot @penguinpages

It helps quite a lot, I was trying to find a way to run CHR on my centos distro running "headless" on old laptop with broken screen. Trying to do it all via CLI and your post was very helpful

Re: Just make The Dude for mipsbe

How via dude
Manage 120 device
Change pass on 120 device? Can dude that?
Backup 120 device via dude?
If can, how? Tnx
As far as I know, you will need to do some scripting from dude, or other router to do this.

I have a few CSS106-1G-4P-1S devices, now with SwOS version 2.7 In SwOS version 2.7 i notice there is no uptime displayed ? on SwOS 2.2 there was uptime under system tab. Was this feature removed or its a bug I have in here? Why would you remove upt...

Agent settings and popup

Hi guys, I noticed when agent is set to default - i wait long time for popup on dude map. Also double clicking device takes long time to open. If I change from default to server - all is much faster. I have only one agent - and that one is server - that means server is default - but still change giv...

Dude - tooltips & search

Hi guys,

Anyone else has problem with search ? I could use search to find thing in submap by selecting search in tooltip option.
Now it doesn't work :( I tested on 6.37.3 and before on few previous versions of dude 6.3x.

I can do search in devices and see a submap it's on, but it's a workaround.

Re: New clients have IP but unable to access internet

Thanks for the suggestion but how do I download and send the configuration? I searched the forum and could not find any clear instructions. Hi, You can use system export from terminal - or u can explain us what is your DHCP setup - what network you use on which interface, what is DHCP server config...

Re: dude client Problem

Thank you very Much the Problem is about FTP . know its ok
do i need more Storage ? or its enough?!
Thanks..
It depends or your DB size and logging options. I have a lot of devices, and DB is around 500 mb. But logs can grow to few gigs of space in a month or so.

Re: dude client Problem

Yes, Dude is compatible with CCR.

tried user admin? full rights ?

you need read + dude + ftp policies, on user for dude (also test for ping) - try group full first to verify.

Also do clean install (first uninstall) of dude client - remove files/folder if uninstall doesn't.

Hope this helps

Re: The Dude, v6.38rc test builds.

Hi, I am running Dude on CHR - v 6.37.1 now, and looking for futher updates. Here are the issues so far: - Slow response when double clicking on device - changing Agents from default to server speeds up to no delay, but we are not using Agents now, so default should be server ? - Users in read only ...

Re: "Incorrect Software ID" on mikrotik.com

Problem Incorrect Software ID solved: You must user ROS build in license function for CHR. U cannot use website to enter system-ID. Once you let your router go online, and setup DNS, it asks for mtik account login details and u activate your trial license. Once you do that, you can see CHR key on a...

Well maybe you missed this part: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CHR#Steps_to_install_CHR You install it on a VM!!! There is support for different supervisors, I made it work on XENserver. As I can see amazon web services is also supported. But now sure how external monitoring works, especially...

Re: "Incorrect Software ID" on mikrotik.com

Exactly the same problem I have for some time. I mentioned it in another post but didn't get much replies - I got answer that license from RouterBOARD to X86 systems are not transferable - but I also have a problem when I try to buy a new one. And with prepaid keys - you can choose which type, so it...

Re: CHR as XEN domU System ID

Seems like CHR on XEN is not so popular - I am using the same, and managed to get bigger disk to place Dude on it, started to love it, but need to get a licence and also have a problem. I don't have a new systemID with VM restart - acctualy I did system reboot from ROS. Do you mean after forced rest...

Will this script work: /interface monitor-traffic wlan7 once do={ :if ($"rx-packets-per-second" = 0 ) do={/interface wireless scan 2 duration=1 } } sometime a wifi card hangs, and short scan helps.... I wanted to add this to scheduler, like run in every 10 mins.... but not sure if this con...
