Re: v7.8 [stable] is released!

after upgrading my hAP ax^2 from 7.8rc3 to 7.8 one of my laptop has started reconnecting every second to WiFi when AX band is on. After downgrading notebook WiFi adapter to AC band it connects fine. It seems like a bug in the firmware, Mikrotik please take a look. Recently I found that exact behavi...

Re: v7.8 [stable] is released!

Sorry but that's not how I see it. That position has been taken by RB5009 already last year. The fact you don't like it, I completely understand. But it is what it is. Is there a RB5009 with wireless? Even if there is, what is the point of debating RB4011 vs RB5009 if there are older (and cheaper) ...

Re: v7.2.2 [stable] and v7.2.3 [stable] are released!

MikroTik,

You removed an important feature (MPLS) from a device in a minor firmware update, without prior warning nor changelog entry.

It's wise to inform and give some explanation if this was an accident or not... before a new rage wave.

Reading this... Can we have something similar for DNS, please? At least if DoH is enabled the DNS subsystem can flood the log extensively.

Re: v7.3beta [testing] is released!

Sorry about this one guys, but every time we have a new version released I see some kind of battle here and I sort of (unfortunately) understand both sides. Thing is: it is non-sense to ask a customer if MikroTik should focus or not on any (kind of) feature that... crashes one device. Crashing is th...

Re: Dude Client unable to connect, stuck on "getting stuff" SOLVED!! [SOLVED]

As suggested by another poster, who's post I cannot find, apologies as you deserve the credit for this. The problem does indeed seem to be MTU related. A simple fix is to run an EOIP tunnel to the DUDE server and access it via the tunnel. I am currently running dude v 6.49.2 on an x86. Runs perfect ...

Re: v7.1rc5 [development] is released!

LtAP mini (with R11e-LTE) never comes up ("not running" status) with v7.1rc5, even after configuration reset. Upgrading the modem's firmware, before upgrading LtAP mini firmware, did the trick for me. After a downgrade back to v6.49 to be able to upgrade the firmware of R11e-LTE (from Mik...

Re: IPsec - set multiple mobile users [SOLVED]

I'll reuse this topic as it's exactly my use case but I want to clarify one detail that may be useful to other users with the same use case. @emils, is this kind of configuration supposed to work if we create multiple identities for the same peer with different secrets using PSK (not PSK XAuth) as a...

Re: Slow traffic via basic L2TP tunnel

Dear @icepicknz, It's funny you bring this one to the forum as I experienced some sluggish performance of L2TP (over IPsec) when comparing it with EoIP (over the same IPsec tunnel). It feels the problem is not directly related with performance (as in throughput) but with lag/latency. Do you want to ...

Re: LTAP Mini LTE kit - LTE interface dissapears after reboot

Is your LTAP Mini a R1 or a R2?

You can check that in the System » RouterBOARD menu: if it says "R2" or "release 2" somewhere it is R2, otherwise it is R1.

IPSec error payload missing: ID_R

Hello, This is about a tunnel between MikroTik with RouterOS v.6.45.3 (my endpoint) and Checkpoint R77.30 (remote endpoint). After configuring everything, I'm getting IPsec error "payload missing: ID_R". Before asking the remote endpoint to define an ID (which I assume would be sent to Mik...

Re: Enable debug logging to specific IPSec peer

No, you didn't.

I was also not very clear either...

Regarding multiple peers I was already considering to use a spare Mikrotik to isolate debugging and to download RFC and use it to better understand and check what must be corrected to get rid of the errors/misbehaviors.

Enable debug logging to specific IPSec peer

Assume I have hundreds of IPSec peers enabled.

If I need to debug an issue in a specific one, how can I enable debug logging for that specific peer, without having to handle all the noise generated by the logging for all the other peers?

Thanks.

Re: Tik App, MikroTik android utility ALPHA test

Hi Support!

I'm unable to have NAT rules changed (bottom notification with undo option shows up; I'm able to enable/disable those same rules) using latest app version.

Can you please check if you can reproduce this behavior?

Thanks.
