WiFi connector for Knot LR(8/9)

Is anyone using the tiny WiFi connectors onthe board of the Knot LoRa version? We deploy solar powered LoRa gateways and are currently using the Knot LR at sites using mobile data sites and a BaseBox2 with LoRa card for sites with WiFi available. It would be great to condense it to use the same hard...

Re: LtAP WiFI connector labelling

I've had a play and worked it out.
The onboard antennas are "Antenna A" and the MMCX antennas are "Antenna B"
Antenna and MMCX connector nearest the corner of the PCB are chain 1

Re: LtAP WiFI connector labelling

That would indicate that the MMCX connector next to "Antenna 1" is Chain 0.
I'll give it a go and see what happens

Re: LtAP WLAN1 MMCX PCB socket Antenna selection

Thanks for that, It would have been immediately obvious if they were labelled Internal and external antenna rather than A or B.
Thanks again :-)
So to clarify, is Antenna B the MMCX connectors?
Do you know which of the connectors is chain 0 and chain 1?

Thanks

LtAP WiFI connector labelling

Can anyone tell me which of the MMCX connectors is chain 0 and which is chain 1? Also, between the built in antennas and the MMCX connectors, which is antenna A and which is antenna B? I have a single chain, low bandwidth application so only want to use one chain, but don't want to accidentally enab...

Link speed stats missing after upgrade

I've just upgraded my dude server (CHR) to 6.47.4 and my Dude client to 6.47.4 All my links now show Rx: ? and Tx: ?. The links are using SNMP monitoring. If I select a device and go to the SNMP tab and then the interface section, the interfaces are shown, complete with their current speeds, so it l...

Re: R11e-LoRa9/R11e-LoRa8 supported RB hardware

i am using several RBM33G with LoRa8 and LTE card without problems.

you have to set a jumper to route the USB2.0 lines to the second PCIe slot
Thanks, still deciding on the RBM33G or LtAP. The RBM33G looks like it will use less power which is a bonus for me on remote solar powered LoRa gateways.

Re: R11e-LoRa9/R11e-LoRa8 supported RB hardware

Does anyone know if an RBM33G supports a LoRa card AND a cellular modem?
I'm trying to sort a very low power LoRa gateway for remote solar operation, so need two mPCI slots

Re: LoRa AU915 support

I missed the bit in the documentation where you can set the channel-plan to custom (from the teminal). For anyone interested, here are the settings I'm using to support AU915-928 on the things network https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/lorawan/frequency-plans.html I've based a lot of this from ht...

LoRa AU915 support

I just received a wAP R and a R11e-LoRa9 card and started setting them up.

I use the AU915-928 bandplan which bears no resemblence to the channels that RouterOS shows when AU915 is selected.

Is there any way to add a custom bandplan, or what am I doing wrong?

Re: Powerbox Pro overload detection

I found a hacky fix to this problem, but it works and can be done remotely. The only catch is you have to have one spare PoE port. Set the spare port to have PoE output forced on, and set the PoE priority lower than the other ports. When overload is detected, it will disable PoE on the spare port an...

LHG 60G assembly / left over screws [SOLVED]

I've finally received a pair of LHG 60G to play with here in NZ. Opened the box, started assembly and have left over screws. There is a little bag that comes with a female spade crimp terminal and three small screws. The screws are approximately 12x1mm. Two of the screws are used to attach two arms ...

Re: Powerbox Pro short circuit

I'm also having this issue on a Hex PoE (RB960PGS) with the latest bugfix firmware (6.40.8). From a quick investigation it seems to only happen for me on the port with the lowest PoE priority (highest priority number). I managed to "fix" it for now by setting the PoE on a spare ethernet po...

Re: Setting admin password with netinstall configure script

Thanks, but was it as part of the default script loaded using netinstall - eg: the script is autorun when the router is reset to defaults?

I can get it to work in a script run at any time, but when part of the netinstall default configuration, the password is left blank

Recovering bricked RB951Ui-2HnD

I have a RB951Ui-2HnD which I tried to reset to default config - it made the chirping sound and now just boots up, makes the chirping sound and then about 10 seconds later makes the chirp sound again, this repeats over and over again. I have tried netinstall but while holding in the reset button it ...

Here is a script for a very basic parser, it returns everything in a string found between two strings. I've worked out a solution, you can use :len
:if ([:len [:find "abcd" "x"]] > 0) do={:put "Found";} else={:put "Not Found";};

Terminating outdoor cable inside

I'm running a small WISP and have a question regarding wiring. I provide all my customers with an RB951Ui-2HnD as the inside wireless router. Re: Setting admin password with netinstall configure script

/user set [/user find name="admin"] password="mypassword"
This doesn't seem to work. It works fine when logged into the device (SSH/Telnet), but not when a default config file being applied with netinstall.

Any other ideas?

Built in hash function

Are there any built in hash functions in RouterOS?

Anything would be great, SHA1/2 or even MD5 would be fine. I want to have a WiFi password set (from device info such as serial number and wifi MAC) in the default configuration script so it's persisted between system resets.

Re: Did we loose IP cloud?

Not working for me either.

Both nameservers (ns1.kissthenet.net, ns2.kissthenet.net) for mynetname.net are down.

Very frustrating - had to get a client to email me so I could look at the headers to find out their IP address.
