Re: Set Wireless to Station + AP Mode Simultaneous? WISP Client?

@yottabit just a friendly question: would you happen to know whether i could safely update to the new bridge config firmware 6.41? Currently i'm travelling and need a working one, but this update also irons out some nasty bugs.

Re: mAP Lite as travel router?

Here's my config, for reference. Note there is one other change I made that may or may not make a difference. Since I'm using the new 6.41 now, there are these address lists called LAN and WAN that have a special significance. The default srcnat masquerade firewall rule is out-interface=WAN but I c...

Change ip adress of mikrotik within same range

Hi Guys, I have a question. Currently my parents are running a mikrotik RB-CRS125 which is not doing the connection to their isp upstream, nor doing dhcp etc. Essentially only switching. The device is on 192.168.69.1 and their modem is currently on 192.168.69.2. For clarity reasons i want to change ...

Using it for quite some weeks now. It is working great, havent had any problems in hotels to connect.
Also created a dedicated vpn tunnel home so i cant watch tv on my tablet (which is blocked by the provider when you are not on their network/country)

But what if you are not able to do so.
I'm using microtik in my mobile home and travel a lot. This is not a working option for me.

After installing this update i experienced a lot of issues on my RB951. Wifi interface was gone. It wouldn't accept an ip adres anymore from the dhcp controller (other device). Config was gone. Did a reset, reinstalled 6.37.2, restored a backup config and got the same issues. Went back to 6.37.1, re...

Re: Make a WiFi AP dedicated connected to a vpn connection

The issue isn't the LAN / WLAN being forced onto vpn. It's the management. With route-marking you can easily force the wlan clients to only use the vpn routes, and allow only the wlan from the vpn. Here is some pseudocode that I think will work: prerouting mangle chain: connection-mark = no-mark --...

Wonder tho if that wont interfere routing rules. Since i have to set the vpn as default route.
