Feature request: TLS Host match a list of hosts

Hello,
It would be nice if one could list multiple hosts in the tls-host match. Right now, you have to add a ton of rules, one for each site. This is hard to maintain and clutters up the firewall rules, especially since one has to reduplicate everything for IPv4 and IPv6.
Thanks!

6.43 API - Why are you *weakening* authentication?

Hello,
I happened to look at the changelog in detail and was alarmed to find this.
It appears you are going from a challenge-based login authentication to a plaintext one? Why are you doing this?
Thanks!

UPnP loopback?

Hello, I find if I make a UPnP mapping, it can be accessed from the Internet, but not from the LAN using the public IP. Does something need to be done differently in the mapping, or is there any way to avoid this on the Mikrotik? I need both internal and external routing based on the public IP. Than...

Re: Unable to Create UPnP Mapping for Temporary Lease

Yes. I have experienced this when testing Open.NAT. Does Mikrotik have any plans to fix this?

Started in RouterBOOT?

Hello, We had two power outages this weekend. I had a CRS125 lose power, and when I came in today, I found it wasn't switching. Connect the serial port cable to my PC (we leave it plugged into the switch, as it comes down 20 feet from the ceiling, but the other end is normally disconnected), and it'...

SIP on PBX occasionally ceases to be able to register

Hello, Our Grandstream PBX tends to work pretty well most of the time, but once in a while, it gets into a state where it is no longer registering. It says it failed to register, our provider says they are not getting packets (and this is likely to be true, as we have two and we lose *both*). Reboot...

Re: HAP AC

I was looking to get this as a replacement for three RB951Gs in our office. I was a little surprised some of the specs are *less*, but I think it will work well.

Re: HAP AC

That data sheet suggests only 225 MHz of spectrum is available in the US on hAP AC.
Does this mean it does not support DFS? Effectively that is one 160 MHz channel at best, yes?

Netgear 341U -- Gobi 3000 / Sierra Wireless "Gobi 9x15 Multimode 3G/4G LTE Modem (IP passthrough mode)"?

Hello, Is it possible to get the Netgear AirCard 341U (Sprint) working on Mikrotik? Netgear's knowledge base at http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27019/~/aircard-341u-%28sprint%29-downloads-and-documentation has a whole section on getting it to run with Linux, so I assumed it would work ...

Netgear 341U

Hello,

Has anyone tried using the Netgear 341U with Mikrotik routers? I noticed it supports IP pass-through instead of only NAT, and Sprint/Ting provides public IPs. This could be very useful to me. Does it work with Mikrotik?

Thanks!

Re: Dual band AP for home use, SSID same or different?

You should use the same SSID. Because otherwise, when they set up a Guest Network, they will now have 4. An end user who is less technical should get the name they want when they type it. They shouldn't have to understand anything about bands. Of course, you could make it an option, but *please* mak...

Re: Xbox Live Open NAT, Filter Rules necessary?

If it is not listening to connections from the public Internet, how is it a security risk? All it does is let computers on the LAN request ports be open and forwarded to them. That is to say, what is needed to make a game work properly. There's no real rocket science. /did game programming until a f...

hAP defaults - please consider

Hello,

Could you make UPnP and IPv6 enabled by default on hAP?
IPv6 is pretty widely available now, and people using game consoles ought not to have to dig into router settings. I can't see a reason to not have this setup for a home router.

Thanks,

James

Re: MikroTik RB951Ui-2HnD transmit power

Interesting! I've not seen that kind of detailed information from, say, TP-Link and its ilk, so I didn't know what to make of them. If I am understanding correctly... If I set the router to only output 500 mW (27 dBm), does that mean it would always get 54 Mbps on 802.11g if it is in range at all (s...

MikroTik RB951Ui-2HnD transmit power

Hello, I am considering buying your router. I had read http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Wireless_FAQ#What_TX-power_values_can_I_use.3F ... Is this still true for this newer router or is the documentation there older? Namely, are TX powers really not reduced adaptively when the level is unnecessa...
