Re: Unlock Audience Frequencies - EU Version

Thanks for both replies. The frequencies are loked because of the shared antennas That makes sense, thanks. Had i suspected that before hand however, i don't think i would have bought the Audience to begin with. By the way, i am using the 4.9Ghz network indoors only so i guess it's not a problem. I ...

Unlock Audience Frequencies - EU Version

Hello, i have just acquired an Audience router ( very nice package by the way) but to be honest with you i am considering returning it. I needed a mikrotik solution that had two 5ghz radio's and placed a bet on the audience.... I have 3x hAP AC connected using a wireless bridge on 5Ghz in-home with ...

Re: Dramatically low speed of 802.11n AP mode on R52Hn

The problem is not fixed for me, i have 3 hap AC units with latest 6.45.8 and the problem still exists on 2.4Ghz interfaces. I had to disable 802.11n altogether on the 2.4Ghz interface ( 5Ghz is fine using ac band mode ) as i was having lots of weird symtoms turned out to be the 802.11n on the 2.4Gh...

Re: Winbox empty (Resolved)

Based on my experience, the reason for this behaviour may just be bad 802.11n support, on 2.4Ghz wlan interfaces. I have spent most of this weekend trying to understand the cause for this behaviour. I'll spare you the headache. Here is a list of symptoms, what i tried to do, and the final solution. ...

Re: RB4011 Metal temperature is really hot

Thanks normis, Could you comment also on my first question? That is, if I don't want it to heat this much how can I reduce the CPU frequency or other, by software means, in order to reduce heat even if that means lower performance? Will this be possible/available for the RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN? Many...

Re: RB4011 Metal temperature is really hot

Thank you for your input. It would also be really nice to have other RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN users reply. I don't see how the radio card alone can generate this much heat. I am really considering returning it... I have 2 hAP ac which I really enjoy, and they really excel in many ways and are always a...

RB4011 Metal temperature is really hot

Hello all, I recently bough a new RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN and before i had the chance to configure it, the metal became extremely hot ( just at the point of burning your hands ) and we still haven't reached this summer.. I understand this is to dissipate the heat but i would like to ask two questions...

Several 802.3af POE ports for CCTV and Mikrotik AP in the same equipment ?

Hello to all !!! I need to implement a CCTV project on a warehouse. Total IP cameras should be around 30 and the cameras have the 802.3af standard and consume up to 5.5 Watts ( MAX ) Given the network infrastructure changes, i was thinking in upgrading some AP's as well. Is it possible to combine 80...

Re: hide routeros version broadcasting

Hello! I bought my first MT hac router and so far loving it, very customizable I did some experiments that lead me to this thread because Router Model was showing as RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT and Router Name as MikroTik Found that Router Name can be changed in System -> Identity, after a restart Router Mo...
