Re: cAP AC and Virtual AP - Unicast key timeout

Is creating a VAP on this AP working all good for anyone ? I have tried literally everything and creating a virtual AP literally doesn't work as expected, as all the interfaces start behaving like i described above after a bit of time, with the client standing literally 2 meters away from the AP.

Re: Traffic Flow analyzer in 2018?

You might want to have a look at ntop, though you'll need a linux box/vm for it.

cAP AC and Virtual AP - Unicast key timeout

Hi all, Basically long story short - i have the need to replace my company's APs with other ones, i chose cAP AC since it looks great on paper but, setting up a test device proved to be a challenge as everything seems to work up until i create a virtual AP, i used wlan1 (2.4Ghz) as it's master inter...

Re: How to auto-reboot if remote IP down for 5 minutes

Hi guys,
related to adding a second address to be checked it's easy, I mean just add an
 \ and [/ping 8.8.4.4 interval=5 count=60] =0
after the first ping rule and obviously between the parentheses , this way the script reboots the router only if both conditions are true.

Re: Feature Request: OpenVPN [ovpn] udp tunnels

Yes please, OpenVPN is in a urgent need of an update, I can't understand why this is being ignored for such a long time. At first I could not understand either, but now I do: I thought that there was just a standard OpenVPN daemon running on the MikroTik, which maybe had to be updated to a recent v...

Re: Winbox for Windows phones/tablets

Well there is an API based app on Windows phones, but i wanted a more robust, with more features official app., as not all routers can be accessed via webfig for different reasons, and since 90% of the code can be used from the desktop aplication, i thought it's a great idea to release a Windows sto...

Re: Site access problem

Never mind as i found the solution, hairpin NAT is the answer in these scenarios.
Basically the solution is this > http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Hairpin_NAT, so if anybody is struggling with this, the answer is very accurately presented in the wiki link.

Hi all, so long story short. Our company site was accessible and all good, then one day we needed to change the router as the old one was dead, and we bought a Mikrotik one CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD, the router is great, all is working like a charm, but suddenly we discovered our site isn't accessible from...
